Fun place to hang out and have a cold vegan treat - Edit
I love going to this place. It’s a great spot to hang out in summer and enjoy a Dole Whip, nondairy ice cream, or sorbet. The menu indicates which items are dairy-free. This establishment offers activities as well (at an additional cost): outdoor mini golf, go-karts, and batting cages. You can also watch the airplanes take off from and land at the nearby Albany airport. Because of the go karts and perhaps, in part, the planes, it can be noisy depending on where you’re seated.
Read moreThey are only open seasonally. There’s plenty of seating, and there are some tables in the sun and others in the shade so you can take your pick. I think there’s indoor seating as well, and to my knowledge the indoor area and the restroom inside are always open when the rest of the place is operating.
I haven’t yet been able to get definite confirmation that all the nondairy ice cream flavors on their menu are vegan, but I imagine that they probably are. I’m not sure about the cones yet, either, and have always gotten my treats in a dish instead. The Dole Whip—the flavor of which rotates here on a weekly basis or so—is vegan, according to the company that makes it.
