Best Caramels - Edit
Stop here for all of your caramel needs. I tried a few different varieties, and everything was great. They were indistinguishable from dairy caramel, unlike many of the coconut milk-based candies I have eaten previously. It's a cute shop with a handful of baked goods as well (I didn't sample those). Eat lunch at Superiority Burger and walk here for dessert.

I haven’t had a macaroon in so long and I honestly didn’t think vegan ones existed. This place has a variety of amazing flavors and other sweet treats.

Super cute shop with so many yummy treats. Their chocolate milk is ridiculously good. They also have fudge and fruit bars. The staff is very sweet too :)

So pleased to find this all vegan confectionery shop. I bought a few individual chocolates and a maple white chocolate block to bring home. Sweet little shop with very friendly service. They also serve macarons too which looked great.

Confectionery is a tiny but pleasant vegan sweet shop in the East Village. I mainly go there for the awesome macarons and cake by Sweet Maresa's. The macaron selection is huge so multiple visits are necessary. Besides the tasty treats by Sweet Maresa's, they also carry chocolates and candies by Lagusta's Luscious. The women who work there are really friendly and helpful. All in all, a wonderful business that anybody can feel good to support. Go there!

Vegan Heaven - Edit
Just visited for the first time to buy an assortment for my wife’s birthday and ended up leaving with an assortment of every chocolate they had, an assortment of seven different macarons, a chocolate bar and a fruity oat bar snack (for myself) and felt like I dodged a major bullet, because I wanted to buy everything! Cannot wait to come back after I’ve tried all of the different flavors and figured out which ones are my favorites.

their macarons are really impressive--beautiful and tasty. vegan macarons are hard to find, and this place is a rare treat. i really turn up for the caramel though. it's sweet and creamy, and the chocolate is amazing. confectionery is my happy place.

Lagusta and Maresa are sweet geniuses. Everything here is a taste bud show stopper. From the most incredible candy bars to macarons and cakes and artisanal chocolate made by incredible and socially/environmentally conscious people. Plus everyone here is SUPER friendly. This place is a dream come true.

We have been on holidays to NY two years in a row and I made sure we visited Confectionery both times!
Read moreThis time we got some macaroons, maple honeycomb type sweets, and a box of little chocolates. It was all amazing. I managed to eat 3 of the 4 chocolates we bought but I did manage to save the 66% dark chocolate for my partner who normally only eats 85% and above. He said it was really tasty!
Service is friendly and helpful too. Highly recommend.

This was the highlight of my vegan tour of New York. The staff was so nice and friendly. The selection of chocolates and macaroons was incredible! Everything is vegan!

I visit Confectionery at least monthly. This place makes the best chocolates and sweets I have ever tasted, and I'm a chocoholic. The macarons by Sweet Maresa are incredible and come in a wide variety of flavors. They have a display case full of chocolates and cookies, as well as individually wrapped options like chocolate bars and various chocolate creations (the Honeycombs are to die for!) This place is perfection! A vegan heaven.

This place is basically the best! Lagusta's chocolates have been a long time favourite of mine and to be able to buy them in person and mix and match a box of fancy truffles and caramels is a dream. Try the Turtle Bar and the Rosemary Sea Salt Caramels! Maresa's macarons are a total delight too and I tried quite a few flavours whilst I was in the city - the apple pie, rose, and darjeeling lemon were my favourites but I don't think that you can really go wrong here.
