My partner and I stumbled across Cone Sweet Cone when we were actually looking for a place to have a drink. We stopped in our tracks when we read on their sign that they offered vegan ice cream flavors: strawberry, chocolate, & mint chip. I had just recently mentioned to my partner how hard it is to find an ice cream place with vegan flavors. We stopped in and ordered waffle cones with Strawberry & Mint Chip. We found out that they make all their ice creams in house! Our person behind the counter was so friendly and matched our excitement over their dairy-free options. We sat on their porch in some rocking chairs and chatted with a local boy about dinosaurs. 10/10 experience. 🍦

I had half and half mint chip/Chocolate and really enjoyed both.
I saw a sign that says they are made with almond milk if that is helpful information for anyone.
Portions are smaller than I'm use to back home but it was the perfect amount to satisfy me and eat in a timely manner.
5 stars for being the only known vegan ice cream option in the area

This is my first time to this shop , but I’d definitely return. They only had three flavors of vegan ice cream (chocolate mocha, mint chocolate chip, and chocolate), but they all tasted delicious.

Another plus is that the vegan ice cream didn’t cost more than the non-vegan flavors ($3-$5, depending on size).
I honestly can’t think of any cons.

Finding vegan options on our trips to this area have been a challenge. This place had quite a few flavors that were vegan. We did the chocolate, and it was really good for being made with almond milk. Could be creamier, but it gave us fudgecicle vibes, and we were happy.

Not entirely vegan, but the vegan ice cream (made with an almond milk base) was clearly labeled with an ingredients list easily available to review.
Read moreThey had four flavors when we visited: peanut butter cup, mint chocolate chip, mocha chocolate chip, and very berry (might've messed that name up, but it was strawberries, blueberries, and another berry).
The Italian ice flavors are all vegan too!
This was such a welcome treat on a hot day and this is such a cool shop. Owners are very friendly and the prices were super reasonable. I can't wait to get back to Gettysburg and see them again!
