Italian Restaurant in the Heart of Denbigh Community; Seperate Vegan Menu! - Edit
Con Amici Italian Bar & Kitchen is a popular restaurant based in Denbigh. It has a lovely community feel, with many of the customers arriving on foot and receiving a familiar greeting from the staff. Both the bar and restaurant have a comfortable atmosphere, heightened only by the excellent service from the staff.

I feel most vegans would find a dish that would appeal to them, but the menu could definitely be more extensive. For example, there was only one type of each pasta and rice dish; so only one risotto, one penne, and one spaghetti and their vegan pizza section included only three choices. The desserts and starters were also pretty basic, with most of the starters being bread heavy, and half of the dessert options were simply ice cream and sorbet.
The food itself was very nice. I went for the Garlic Pizza Bread (Tomato Sauce, Garlic, Rosemary) and Risotto ai Funghi Selvatici. I didn't taste much of the garlic or rosemary on the pizza bread starter, but I could see that they were there, and I really loved the super thin charred base. The risotto was beautiful and I really enjoyed it. I also had a Fun on the Beach cocktail, and granted, they were only £4 each, but it was not very nice at all, and I didn't finish it.
Overall, I had a good experience here and certainly recommend Con Amici to nearby vegans - especially as there doesn't seem to be very many decent options for vegans in the area!

Lovely Italian lots of vegan options - Edit
Restaurant was full so we sat in bar area but it was nice and quiet. Olives to start and the house wine which was lovely. Girl behind the bar was lovely. We ordered a pesto pasta dish and mushroom pizza which had potatoes on which is why we ordered as I’ve never had potatoes on pizza before- carbs on carbs! But it was delicious.

Separate vegan menu - Edit
Con Amici has been a good local option for vegans for a while and added a separate vegan menu in about 2019. There is a good range of starters, mains and sweets, and I think they label vegan wines too. Booking advisable.

Brilliant vegan menu - Edit
Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Eaten here many times and never disappointed. They now have an entirely separate vegan menu with lots of choice including a wide range of starters, mains and desserts. Highly recommend 🥰 5 stars! Staff are lovely too!
