It's great! - Edit
Community Foods is the best place in Cairns to buy unpackaged organic food, and it's located right in the city centre. I volunteer there, and the shop is run mostly by volunteers so there's always a happy vibe. There's a wide selection of foods like nuts, seeds, dried fruit, grains, honey, tahini, natural cleaning products, tea, gluten free pasta, fresh peanut butter, milk and yoghurt, spices and wonderful treats like chocolate coated almonds! If you are after something that's not in stock they may be able to order it in for you. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in Cairns, and new volunteers are always welcome too.
Pros: local and organic/biodynamic food, ethical, wide range of products, cool people
