Great dining option for a mixed (vegans & carnivores) crowd - Edit
The commune burger isn't bad. Just ask for it vegan. They'll swap your bread. The pesto is already vegan (no cheese). My carnivore family loves their meals. Great vibe here. Friendly staff and people. Our server, Madison, deserves a raise! In summary, it's great for a mixed crowd. The commune burger itself needs something. Before ordering, they said it's kinda like falafel. Well, I think falafel has a good taste even without a sauce (like tahini). The commune burger really needed the pesto, plus salt & pepper. It was bland otherwise.
My carnivore family cannot stop raving about their meals. Not me unfortunately. I'm happy, just not raving...
I got a The Commune Burger, a patty made with peas, potatoes, rice and some other things. To make it vegan I had to substitute the bun for a vegan bread. This was the only thing labeled vegetarian but all the other things with meat can be substituted with that patty which was delicious. Not a ton of options but the food was delicious and the staff know how to make things vegan. I’d definitely go back, and it’s a good place to take non vegan family and friends, so everyone can have options.
