El veganismo es una postura ética en la cual no se debe lucrar.

No son veganos, a lo mucho son vegetarianos

Changed locations

I went to this restaurant yesterday as my friend recommended it and it was closed. I'm not so good at Spanish yet but what I think it on Facebook is that that have changed locations.

Nothing impressive

I had 2 tacos only but they where average. Small choice, cheap, they don’t look very organized. But i will give a other chance later in the day.

Cheap and delicious food

Small nice restaurant where you can relax while reading a book and eat tasty and vegan food.

Cons: Cheap 40 pesos for a meal with a drink

Cultura de la veggie

This little place consistently serves up good food at an affordable price. They are very politically minded here, consciously trying to provide vegetarian and vegan food for the community without participating in the typical "specialty" markup / bourgeosification that is often associated with this type of food simply because it is different from the norm (not because it legitimately costs more or is harder to make!).

They have a couple staple meals that are available daily (chilaquiles and gorditas), and a rotating dish-of-the-day type menu that changes every day and every week which can include all manner of creative and traditional meals cooked sans carne (not to mention deserts and beverages). It's worth checking in regularly on their Facebook to see what interesting dishes might be available any given week.

Given that it's a pretty small place (they have like 3 tables and a bar you can sit at) it's not exactly the place to go with 10 of your friends, and if you happen to arrive at a particularly busy moment you might choose to wait or order for take out. They also do delivery in the centro area.

Aside from edible things, there is a rack of political / philosophical zines for reading while you eat, a box of free books, and they also sell a variety of local artisanal products. Anybody with an inclination towards the punk-minded or DIY approach to a meat-free life will definitely want to check this place out! I hope they stick around for a long time!

Pros: Good, affordable food, Variety of non-food things to check out, Conscious community vibe & politics

Cons: Small, Not open weekends
