Expensive for com chay - Edit
Place was dirty and I found two dark hairs in my food. Food pretty average but she changed the price on me charging me 50k for not alot. The food was cold. Will not go again

The restaurant looks very local...but the staff is very friendly and the dishes that we had today we're really great.

We paid for 3 plates of food only 45000 Dong (about 2$).
We will come again :)

my first Chay banh mi didn't disappoint - Edit
After walking kms in the sweltering heat to find the famous chay Banh mi cart everyone has raved about... disappointed find she wasn't open, we headed to Com Chay for lunch. When we arrived they immediately brought us English menus, so we didn't have to do the guessing game of what we were ordering.
Read moreWe settled on 2 banh mis and a mock chicken salad. Beware they were both packed some serious heat. The herbs, pickled veges and mock meat were delicious, the bun wasn't the best, but a solid first authentic banh mi experience.
Mock chicken salad was interesting, loads of spice, onions and herbs, the best element was the sauce/dressing - tangy and sweet.
The setting was modest but so was the price the 3 items plus freshly squeezed juices and bottles of water came to 90,000VND.
I'll be back there tomorrow.

We tried to find this place yesterday and it doesn't seem to be open anymore - it looked like they were renovating :(
