Great local vegan meal - Edit
Lovely vegan meal in a tiny cafe, prepared just for us in quiet Ueda yesterday. Tons of vegan stickers and papers all over. Little English but our host was lovely and she was clearly a great cook.
Read moreFinding the location was confusing but photos attached to help. Third photo is the entrance from the street and second photo is the interior of the first restaurant that you go through and turn left to get into the vegan restaurant’s small room. It’s part of a group of other restaurants in the same small complex. Best found on Google by searching the Japanese name. Delicious and good luck!

Lovely vegan place in the old street - Edit
Coming across a restaurant that even has vegan options is difficult enough while travelling through Japan, but I never expected a fully vegan restaurant, especially one with such a nice atmosphere!

Üppiger und mal etwas anderer Mittagstisch! - Edit
Hier gibt es zwar nur ein einziges Mittagsmenü, das jedoch täglich wechselt. Es besteht aus einer begleitenden Suppe, einem Schälchen mit frischem Salat sowie einem Tellergericht mit Reis und 2-3 verschiedenen Beilagen. Ein Nachtisch ist anschließend inklusive. Ebenso wird kostenlos Tee ausgeschenkt.
Read moreDas Besondere für mich ist bei diesem Mittagstisch der Touch einer echten Hausmannskost. Zum saisonalen Gemüse gibt es gekegentlich Klöße aus Okara oder gefüllte Tofu-Teilchen, manchmal Tempura, manchmal auch besondere Bratlinge.
In einer Kleinstadt wie Ueda, in der das vegane Angebot nicht wirklich groß ist, ist dieser Mittagstisch ein echtes wohlschmeckendes Highlight 👌
Pros: Vielfältiges Mittagsmenü für zz. rd. 1000 ¥, Schön gelegen in historischer Yanagimachi Straße, Personal spricht auch Englisch und Italienisch!

Incredibly unique and special place - Edit
The restaurant is located in the historic street of ueda which is sweet and peaceful with a lot of little shops.
Read moreThe place is unapologetically Japanese in atmosphere, while providing explanations about Veganism via posters on the walls. This is the first time I've seen somethings like that in Japan.
Each day has a unique vegan meal that is very affordable and filling. Highly highly recommended!!
