Not amazing, but filling

Nice to find a place with a whole vegan menu, though it’s a shame all the gluten-free bread contains egg. I had the Big Belly Filler, which was as filling as promised, but flavour-wise it was fairly standard – nothing you couldn’t make at home or find at many other cafes or restaurants. My partner had the fritters and said they were delicious.

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Clearly marked gluten free options, Friendly knowledge staff

Cons: Expensive, GF bread not vegan, No standout or unique flavours

Central location with cafe style food & drink

Day time cafe, central to the CBD.
Limited options available but they had ready made options and could alter set menu eg trade the pork boa for tofu.
Staff were knowledgeable, service was reasonably quick, tasty and value for money

Pros: Viriwty of drinks, Pre made options available , Friendly service

Cons: Not many options

Satisfying meals

Vegan options were substantial. Like other reviews it’s not an entirely vegan location, but given its in the Beef Capital of Australia, it’s done well. I had the big belly filler, and it was filling. Coffee was delightful and if you’re on the lookout for a quick snack, they have vegan options for rolls and wraps in the cabinet.

A Breath of Vegan Air in A Not So Vegan Town

Nice vegan menu with quite a few options. I had the breakky burger which was quite nice and good value for money.

Coffee is good with milk alternatives. Outdoor seating that allows dogs.

Yummy smoothie options with alternative milk options too.

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Well priced, Dog friendly outdoor seating

Cons: Serves meat, eggs and dairy

Worth the visit

Impressed with the separate vegan menu. However, was surprised when the zucchini & corn fritters came out with eggs. Understandable if it was a vegetarian menu but it claims to be vegan. Luckily I was dining with omnivores so was able to unload them off my plate. The fritter meal was very tasty & I would order it again.

Was keen to try one of the burger options but the bun contained egg. Appreciate that being noted on the menu but wonder how hard it would be to swap out for a bun without egg. Great for ovo vegetarians though.

Pros: Very tasty, Friendly staff, Great atmosphere

Cons: Not a purely vegan menu

Food good but expensive

Would like to see better quick and easy smaller options.
Food I have had so far has been a big meal with a big price tag.
Not East to eat on the run or on the way to work.

Thought out menu

The espresso is bang on, the vegan menu is wide enough to try something different everyday for 10 days or so. The food is well thought out, with what seems to be a 'not unless it's as good as it can be' ethos - special mention to the homemade baked beans. Staff are motivated and genuinely seem to be enjoying what they do; which is reflected in the service. One of the owners told me they are doing their best to bring in more vegan friendly breads etc - which at times can be a struggle in this industry thus far.

Go give it a go and get your accompanying meathead to try something that might make them feel better.

Well done

Pros: Baked beans, Corn Fritters, Cereal thingy (can't recall the name)

So many options

This place is a great atmosphere and has an entire separate vegan menu for breakfast and lunch! We arrived with 1 minute to spare before the kitchen closed, so I unfortunately didn’t have a lot of time to decide and quickly picked the risotto. We will be back next time we are passing through!! Love the homemade style of chips too 🤤

Pros: Large vegan only menu, Nice atmosphere

Great meals!

We had the big belly filler and zucchini fritters (forgot to take photos as we were too hungry) and they were excellent!! Great options on the vegan menu, very impressed especially considering it’s in Rockhampton. The house made baked beans were delicious, as was the rest of the meal, and definitely didn’t skimp on avocado or spinach like a lot of places do. At $20 for the big breaky and $17.50 for the zucchini fritters I felt like the prices were good, I’m a big eater and was full with the big breaky. Range of milk choices including oat however the coffee was a bit average sadly hence 4 stars. Overall though great place with friendly staff and I would be back if I lived here!

Vegan menu at the cash register

They’ve had a good crack at vegan options but would love them to run the options by some more vegans for quality control to become a place I’d frequent. There are two GF vegan breakfast options, a fruit plate and the tex mex bowl that is just veggies and black beans with no grain at all. Nothing substantial if you’re looking for a real start to your day. I haven’t tried the lunch options they also had some smoothies on the vegan menu.

This place could go from 2 ⭐️ to a 4 ⭐️ if they used a better quality soy milk, added quinoa or a GF vegan bread to the tex mex bowl, or added an oatmeal option so there’s a hearty GF option.

Pros: Really friendly staff, Having a vegan menu in Rocky is AWESOME

Cons: Cheap soy milk, GF bread isn’t vegan, Paid $22 per person for small meals

A vegan menu!

I couldn't believe it until I saw it. They have a vegan menu:D we had the mushroom risotto and the zucchini fritters. The risotto was better than the fritters. All in all a bit pricey for what you get but at least something vegan in the beef capital..
