Where did the vegan options go?

This used to be a regular stop as the coffee is good and there were several vegan options on the menu. The last few visits have been disappointing with most of the standard Coffee #1 vegan options missing so we had to look elsewhere for somewhere to eat.

Pros: Coffee, Atmosphere

Cons: No vegan savoury food , Missing vegan cakes , Expensive

Ridiculous prices

When visiting Coffee #1 be sure to check your bank account before entering. For £4.25 you can purchase a small glass of oat milk with a tiny drizzle of caramel syrup (ice and blending not included).
If you’re feeling tired and need coffee in your frappes, as is normally included at other places, you can purchase this at Coffee #1 for an additional £2.40. I hope you don’t have a taste for whipped cream as this may dip into your overdraft as this is also at an additional cost. Forgot to mention this is for a regular. If you have a weak heart - don’t ask for the large!
Staff were lovely, but couldn’t afford a tip. Hopefully these absurd profit margins are being passed on so at least they can afford a coffee at the end of their day. I recommend Brecon theatres coffee shop where you can purchase lovely coffee and cake at the prices you expect to pay in a nice coffee shop.

Pros: Staff were nice

Cons: Cost

Roomy cafe with good vegan cakes

Two of us went here three times in three days and only repeated cakes the last day so I guess they had at least four different cakes. Also bought some falafel wraps to take away one day. Coffee good. Everything was fine and staff were friendly. More vegan options are always nice but I think they are doing quite well by omnivorous cafe standards.

Pros: Friendly, Several vegan options , Food and coffee good

Okay

Had a matcha latte which was just fine, and a pecan cake, which was really yummy! 😋 The lady at the counter was quite unfriendly though and the toilets were really gross. 🤮

Nice sweets

Had a spiced chai latte with soy milk and a piece of vegan blackberry crumble to accompany the drink 😉 Both tasted really nice and sweet. Not many vegan options but enough to keep me happy.

Pros: Good pies, Nice interior, Many seats

Dessert selection, delicious wrap

The meatball wrap was delicious, I just wish we'd gotten there earlier in the day not to have to share one because it was so good! (To be fair we arrived shortly before closing time). There were several vegan desserts available - tea cakes, cobbler, and brownies. Coffee and smoothies were very good.

Pros: plenty of seating, delicious vegan selections, good coffee and cold drinks

Cons: sandwiches are premade so go early

Great coffee

Oat and coconut milk available for coffees. Great selection of coffee available including a seasonal brew. Good choice of clearly labelled vegetarian and vegan cakes. For savoury food they had a falafel wrap & a pea and quinoa soup

Pros: Great choice of coffees , Lots of seating
