Affordable and filling

Cocoveg is a no frills affair but the staff and food are on point. I arrived and was offered a preset menu which included a soup, drink and main plate. The taste wasn't mind blowing but for the price I appreciated how much went into making the dish something worth remembering.

Pros: Lots of Vegan options , Extremely affordable , Funky art vibes in the restaurant

Siempre algo rico

rare find in the Obrera neighborhood

This place is amazing and is really a must-visit for those interested in non-traditional, activist, and community-oriented spaces. I could barely believe my eyes when I ran across it accidentally, as there are virtually no vegetarian places anywhere in this neighborhood.

Just lots of simple but delicious Mexican specialties (breakfast and lunch) made with care and passion. Check their FB site for daily specials. They also host concerts, lectures, and other cool events. Just a few blocks from the Lázaro Cardenas metro, and the fascinating working-class neighborhood of Obrera is worth a nice long walk as well. Highly recommended!

Pros: inexpensive, authentic, unique
