What vegan dreams are made of! - Edit
The cutest little cafe tucked away with so many delicious options! Offers fresh pressed juice, serves oat and soy milk for their espresso bar and 10 labelled vegan items on how to make specific dishes vegan friendly! Soup and salad of the day was already vegan and super friendly staff! I would vote 5/5 but they do serve meat and this app won’t let me! ☺️

Great Vegan Options - Edit
Coco's was a really nice and quick stop. We placed an order for pick up on a Monday for lunch during January. It was ready in less than 10 minutes.
Read moreThe gentleman was very nice and knew what vegan was. We ordered a vanilla cappuccino with Oat milk. The man advised he was testing oat milk as a non dairy option. He waited until we arrived to collect our order to ask us about the size of the cappuccino. He said their cappuccinos are traditional and are quite small. He offered to make us a larger to go cappuccino. That was very nice of him as we would have been disappointed with a small as we intended to share. And it's always nice to have fresh coffee.
While we were waiting for the coffee (maybe 2min) he asked us about our plans and kindly reminded us to fill up with gas as we were headed south on the ice field Parkway and it's about 300km with no access to gas. We had our hopes up about seeing woodland caribou and he advised he'd not seen any in his 12yrs in Jasper.
Vegan Huevos Rancheros Breakfast: This was quite respectable. We loved the herbed potatoes. The mashed beans were good. The tomatillo salsa (green salsa) had quite a bit of heat. The tofu was good but we wished it had a bit more flavor. It came with 3 small (4in ish) corn tortillas. I believe this would have been gluten free depending on your sensitivity. Overall we were quite happy to find such a great vegan meal in a rather remote part of Canada. Furthermore it was Mexican and we've found a lot of Mexican inspired dishes in Canada to be lacking (we've spent years in Texas).
Vegan Chocolate Zucchini Muffin: We were craving a scone and the owner suggested the muffin. It was really good. Moist, chocolatey (cocoa powder mixed in the batter and chocolate chunks) and just the right amount of sweetness. It honestly reminded me a bit of the cocoa puffs cereal.
Vegan Vanilla Cappuccino with Oat Milk size 16oz to go: As mentioned earlier the owner advised he was testing oat milk (so we are unsure if it will become permanent). They also had soy and almond milk. This was a really good coffee. It had a good amount of sweetness, it was creamy and the coffee was smooth.
We advised the owner we found him on HappyCow and he said he'd never heard of it lol.
Like others have said it is small inside. The tables are a bit cramped. However it was nicely maintained and the menu inside was easy to read. The bathroom is all gender. It is near the back (past the kitchen). It was very clean.
Coco's is across the street from Tim Hortons.
Overall I'd recommend stopping here and would be back.
Pros: Good vegan options, friendly owner
Cons: Small amount of seating inside

You must eat at this cute local restaurant in jasper! It definitely has the most vegan options of any other restaurants in the town. We had the tofu scramble and the vegan huevos rancheros and both were absolutely delicious! They also had some vegan cookies that were amazing as well😄

Great cafe with 3 vegan cakes - Edit
Stopped here for a drink after seeing it was vegan friendly on Happy Cow! I opted for a chai latte with soya milk and was pleased to see 3 cake options. I got the granola bar cake which was covered in chocolate and really tasty. Quite a quirky place, no WiFi available.

Vegan breakfast! - Edit
This is the only place in Jasper I could find with vegan breakfast options. They do serve breakfast all day, which is a must. They can make several things vegan and have tofu scramble. The vegan portions are kinda small, in my opinion. I didn’t even take a photo, because the huevos rancheros were not particularly aesthetic. The chai latte was good. They only have soy and almond milk for nondairy options. They do not have decaf as an option. It is first come first serve seating with only 4-5 tables.

Delicious tofu scramble options (the sombrero one is my favorite) and vegan scone and muffin deliveries are made late morning! I rave about this place and like that my non-veggie friends can find something here too!

Mixed Feelings - Edit
I have been to Coco's many times and have mixed feelings on the variety of menu items i have tried. Firstly, the cafe has a very cozy feel to it and does offer a lot of vegan options. They also have freshly squeezed juice which is hard to find in Jasper.
Read moreThe first time i went was for breakfast where i got "the backpacking hippie" which is a tofu scramble dish and, honestly, i hated it. It was dry, weirdly flavoured and just not enjoyable to eat. I am eager to attribute this to just one bad batch though, as i have heard many positive reviews about this meal from others.
Other times i have gone have been to get a coffee and a sweet treat. The coffee is good quality and they offer almond and soy milk, although this is at an extra cost. A dairy free hot chocolate is also available but is not always strong enough. The vegan baked goods, however, are to die for!! I had this one cookie which was a peanut butter/choc chip/chai/oatmeal/everything delicious in the world that was phenomenal. And the ginger crisp is also wonderful.
Another time i went to coco's for lunch with a friend where i had the black bean and sweet potato wrap. This was super filling and tasty although the presentation was definitely lacking. Just a fat burrito on a tiny plate.
Overall i still love coco's and will continue to eat there but the service and food quality is not always consistent.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Delicious baked goods
Cons: Long wait times, Weak hot chocolates

Awesome vegan options - Edit
Very cute and cozy. Even though it's not 100% vegan, it has a handful of options. I tried the roast sweet potato, black bean & green rice burrito (with no cheese). They have two soups and two salads every day and one of each is vegan (And GF).

first time at Coco's Cafe - Edit
First of all, grateful and happy for finding a place with vegan alternatives. I had only 1 dish so I can't say much. I had a vegan backpacker skillet made of firm tofu seasoned with turmeric, peaces of green pepper, spring onion and bowl or roasted square potatoes. And 2 peaces of fine bread.

Awesome and sweet little Cafe in Jasper - Edit
I got the Hippie Backpacker Breakfast - scrambled tofu, potatoes and peppers with toast and peanut butter - and it was really yum! The dish could have been a bit bigger but maybe I was just too hungry. The atmosphere is super nice in there, just sort of a nice alternative place in Jasper. It is quite small but that just sort of adds to it, could get a bit crowded though. They also have cookies and muffins (which were sold out though). Would recommend for breakfast or a small lunch as it closes around 06:00PM.

Nice small cozy place. It's often busy but you don't wait that long. I found the teriyaki vegan wrap far too salty, but the quinoa chili was terrific. Would recommend their homemade iced tea too.

Best Place for Veg*ns in Jasper - Edit
Coco's has the best soy lattes on the planet. I had their tofu scramble in a spinach wrap and it was honestly the best I've had in my 20 years as a vegetarian. Special requests/substitutions are no problem. My partner had the breakfast wrap and was equally impressed. All of Coco's food and baking is made in-house.
Read moreIt has an easy-to-miss brown awning out front. A few small tables inside and counter space facing the main drag (Patricia Street). Friendly staff. Progressive atmosphere.
Don't waste your time at Bear Paw or The Other Paw bakery. Coco's blows them away. I discovered Coco's on my last day in the park. Wish I'd discovered it on my first.
