Yummy toasties close by! - Edit
I am just up the road from this little place and recently ordered two types of toasties as recommended by my friend who says they are amazing. Well, I enjoyed what I chose and feel very keen to try other items they have on the menu. Happy to support this local business.

Buddha bowl!!! - Edit
Buddha bowl is so good! Really good mix of vegetables and tofu and you can choose which sos you would like to get with it! It was just pure awesomeness! We wanted to try some sweets after but we couldn’t fit it in afterwards:/

Yummy toasties that reay hit the spot but kinda expensive. Coffee is really expensive and also not that great. Smoothies are also expensive and not that yummy.

I have very fond memories of this place because I was in hospital at Cabrini for 10 days and was sick of hospital food and hospital in general so I ordered from Cocomamas when I needed cheering up. Also, it was the only food yummy enough to tempt me to eat! I also ordered the vegan ferrero rawcher for my nurse and she said it was amazing and she wasn't vegan.

The last two times I've been here have not lived up to standard. First time they weren't serving nachos due to the pot being broken, and when I went again today I called and was told nachos were back and from 12pm. We arrived 12.30pm to order and it was a 20 minute wait on the nachos. Eventually 40 minutes later they were ready. They know they start the lunch menu at 12 so why were they over an hour late??
Read moreThey used to have a fridge filled with smoothies and take away items which is now gone. Smoothies have increased a lot in price and in my opinion are just too expensive for what they are. We also awkwardly had to fight for a seat as there were just so many people waiting around. I'm going to sit out from Cocomamas til later in the year and then give it another try... but right now there are just too many other awesome all-vegan cafes that appeal to me a lot more.

Completely vegan, lots of bowl options, very yummy and the staff are super friendly. It is just off the main Elsternwick Shopping Street (Glenhuntly Rd), easily accessible by Elsternwick Station. There are 2 window seats in the cafe, two small outdoor tables, and two large picnic tables across the road.
Pros: All vegan, close to my house
Cons: Sometimes out of food, limited seating

Read moreToday was the third time I came in to order the nachos and they were out. Why have it on the menu if you never have the item. Also the lady serving me today should really not work with people. She could not be bothered smiling might as well taking my order. they were out of food anyway.The worst part was I called twice beforehand to check but they don't pick up their phone either. Great food but they are happy to Waste your time and the food is very overpriced anyway.

Go for the free glass bottle - Edit
We ordered the nachos on our first visit and unfortunately it failed to deliver. Priced at just under $17, the toppings were not adequate for the amount of corn chips and the overall flavour was lacking also.
Read moreThe Chocmint smoothie however was very good and was served in a re-useable glass bottle.
Would return again and order a smoothie bowl perhaps, since it is what they specialise in.
