No vegan curry

I asked if they had vegan curry, they just said no and rushed away. I felt very unwelcome.

Exceeded expectations

After reading reviews about this chain, I wasn’t expecting anything special however I thought the curry was rich in flavour and veggies were delicious.
2 minute walk from Umeda Sky Building.
Level 4 spice was amazing. I was with vegetarians who said the salads were amazing also.

It's good high quality chain shop, maybe because it's close to umeda sky building. You can eat very good and cheap vegan curry with soy meat

Pros: Solid vegan curry

Happy

Coco is the quintessential Curry place for vegans and carnivores alike. The curry there is always solid, great Japanese style curry.

There is tons of variable options, like rice style portion size, spice level, toppings, etc.

If you're only there for one meal I'd say go for the eggplant vegetable curry. If you're feeling adventures try some spice but be aware that if you are not used to woody food, 2 or 3 might be already quite spicy.

Pros: Reasonable prices, filling.

Cons: Serves non-vegan food.

Level 5 is too spicy

You may think being a vegan makes you superior and immune to pain. It does not. The level 5 spice is too hot. You don’t even have milk or honey to soften the spice!

It’s also still kinda bland. Good for convenience, and serviceable. But not outstanding.

Apparently level 2 is nice though

Pros: Vegan options in convenient locations, Actually spicy

Cons: Kinda bland, Toppings on table are not vegan

Good Vegetables, Bland Curry

There are multiple options on the veg menu. I got my curry with eggplant, tomatoes, and spinach. The veggies were good, but the curry was underwhelming. But to be fair, I'm not a big fan of Japanese curry in general.

Pros: Multiple veg curry options

Cons: Bland curry

Good vegetarian curry

They have a vegetarian curry menu here with a few options that are also customisable. I enjoyed the eggplant and vegetable curry.

Cheap and quick food

FREE DRINK: if you have visited the sky building observatory, present your ticket for a free drink with your meal.

This place was great and well priced. Many vegan options with rice, including vegetable and mushroom. Good for a meal after the observatory as you get the free drink as above. Haven't been to any other locations of CoCo but definitely will after this one.

Meat in vegetables curry

I had the surprise to have pork in my vegetable curry ... please be careful. It’s a pity because the vegan curry is actually good and cheap

Been here after visiting the sky garden of the Umeda Sky Building. Nice branch of Coco Curry with very nice staff. The vegan/green menue is available here with 7 customizable (size/spice) option. The food was really great!

Good Japanese Curry

Vegan menu was available at the table.
I chose the standard vegetable curry and liked it.
You can choose more or less rice and your preferred spiciness (as you can with the non vegan curry).

Pros: accessible, affordable, delicious

Worked for vegan and for soy-free allergy

We ate in 2 different CoCo's because it was a challenge to accommodate 2 vegans and one non-vegan with soy allergies. This chain has an allergy menu to assist those with varied dietary needs. It has meat menus but also has vegan menu. Really good food. Each restaurant varies a bit with what they have to offer. But menu's are in multiple languages and the food is very good. It is Japanese curry so may be different if you are expecting Indian curry. The staff was really helpful.

Pros: Allergy menu, able to accomodate vegan and soy-free , accommodates all food preferences

Convenient and true to how Japanese curry should taste

This place is really great because it’s a chain restaurant that can be found in most places in Japan(not all of them have a vegetarian menu, but most do, just make sure to specify that you want the vegetarian menu). They have a lot of different curry options on the vegetarian curry menu, and all of them are great, just keep in mind that the portion sizes are quite large.

Pros: Cheap, Available in multiple locations

Nice curry, but some confusion

Couldn’t find it the first time but the map reference has been amended. It’s on B1 by the garden area. You have to ask for the ‘vegetarian menu’ rather than the ‘vegan curry’ as I did. 5 minutes later I got a beef curry. If they put the veg menus on the table with the other 20 it would be a lot easier, you could just point. They must know that most people coming in after a vegan/vegetarian curry are going to be non-natives. Anyway, selection is good, once you get there and it’s tasty.

Pros: Good menu, Cheap, Quick

Cons: Busy at lunchtime- queues, Staff aren’t savvy re vegetarianism

Excellent and affordable option in Osaka

I tried this curry house last night and it was amazing! I ordered the standard curry which is featured on the front of the vegan menu. There is any option to choose spiciness level from 0-10. I opted for level 5 and I’m glad I didn’t go for level 10 as I was originally considering! As someone who eats a lot of spicy food, level 5 was tolerable.

NB - The store was a bit tricky to find, I’ve attached some pictures. It’s actually behind/in front (depends which way you’re coming from
I guess) of the sky building. If you find the Mazda store, look opposite that for the corridor in the pictures.

Pros: Affordable, Separate vegan menu , Delicious

Cons: Little bit tricky to find
