Simple, delicious, convenient, cheap - Edit
The first thing to check when arriving in a mid-small city is where is the nearest coco. Yes it's fast food and yes it's a chain, but relatively healthy, super easy to order and always has some 100% vegan options so you can avoid the anxiety.
Read moreIn the winter season they have the vegetable curry which is extra great, full of fresh vegetables and the rice can be substituted with cauliflower which is extra nutritious.

My lord and saviour, everywhere in Japan where there is no vegan option you will at least find a coco somewhere.
