Vegan items are the rice, whole pinto beans, vegetable red sauce, guacamole, pico de gallo, chips & salsa, corn & flour tortillas, soy meats (chicken, beef, al pastor), vegan green sauce (chile verde), cheese, sour cream, etc. Note the regular green sauce (chile verde), refried pinto beans, red enchilada sauce are not vegan. Vegans can order veggie tacos, tostadas and vegan chicken enchiladas. Servers are knowledgeable about veganism and can help veganize most menu items. Uses vegetable oil for frying and olive & soybean oil for food. Try #18 and the #10 as they can make them with only veggies or even soy meats. Amazing vegan options - Edit
While driving to eastern Sierra my friend found CM as a vegan option for me. Wow, a full veg menu with vegan cheese and sour cream. Had the Burrito both visits which was fresh with tasty tofu, beans and rise. Green sauce is great.

The fact that they had a completely separate vegan menu was so great! I got the two tacquitos with potato filling and it was a great way to fill up for lunch.

For this place to have all the vegan options they do on their menu is a plus and shows that they care about their vegan customers! 💚 The food is also perfect. It is not loaded with salt and the agua fresca is not loaded with sugar except for the desert I had but that’s the point of that one. I had the vegan fajitas and everything they came with is vegan. They were also well seasoned and cooked properly. I never usually get dessert but this time I did. They only had one option and that was buñuelos. The ice cream that they come with is not vegan so that is something they need to fix…. Despite that, the staff are very friendly and the place is nice. Can’t wait to go back.

My friend and I were returning from a wedding in Yosemite and when I leave there, I always try to eat MX food in Oakdale. This time I couldn't remember which restaurant I liked so we stopped where I usually do and the restaurant no longer looked familiar. It was hot, we were hungry! We got back in the car and drove further and saw Cocina Michoacana. When we went in and looked at the menu, we were delighted to be able to ask for a VEGAN menu. What???!

They have a special vegan menu with ample options. I’ve been to a lot of Mexican restaurants in my life, but this is the first time I’ve been to one with an actual vegan menu. They even offer vegan cheese and sour cream! I’m so impressed! It is so hard to choose one dish. I absolutely love their refried beans! I could just eat a whole bowl of those alone. 10/10 if you like Mexican food, don’t miss this place.

Came across this restaurant while on the long drive back home to the Bay from the Eastern side of the Sierras, hoping to find some food before hitting traffic. This cute restaurant hit the spot! And they have a vegan menu! Dining is available inside and out. The bean dip is fantastic, and they even have a vegan Michelada! Will definitely stop again the next time we are coming through here.

Service was fast and friendly, tasty food. They have a vegan menu with many dishes, even vegan cheese and sour cream. The owner's daughter, according to our server, is vegan and convinced her dad to include a separate vegan menu. They can also veganize most of the other dishes from the main menu. Our server knew right away what sauces and ingredients were vegan, obviously knowing when "vegan" means. I'll go back again next time I'm passing through. Who woulda thunk a vegan menu in a cowboy town?
