Delicious vegan and gluten free options - Edit
Good selection of vegan and gluten free options that are clearly labelled on the menu. Came a little late in the day when there was only a limited menu available. We had gyoza, strawberry mochi waffles and peach bubble tea. Planning to come back earlier in the day so I can try more from the full menu.

One of the best desserts I have ever had - Edit
Popped into Maroochydore and as Happy Cow gave this place high reviews, we gave it a try. So glad we did.
Read moreFirstly, to find Coca Bar, it is on the outside of the mall, by the river. It is signposted from various places around the development. There is seating inside and out. We sat outside and could watch the people on the adventure ropes across the river.
Our server told us almost everything on the menu would have a vegan option. We chose the teriyaki tofu bao buns and the dumplings. Both very delicious, especially the bao buns. But it was the dessert that blew me away. I love a good dessert, and I'd heard of Asian desserts made of shaved milk ice with sweetened condensed milk and fruit (Bing), but never had the opportunity to try a vegan version. Coca offered 5 vegan choices for Bing; mango, strawberry, biscoff, oreo and lychee. There is a choice of half size ($16) or full size ($21). We ordered a full size strawberry Bing to share and that was perfect for two.
I am a huge dessert fan and I love icy or ice creamy desserts in particular, but I've had more than my fair share and it takes a lot to impress me. Bing impressed me. Perfect teeny tiny soft snowlike shards of sweet milk ice, topped with ice cream and fruit liberally applied. Every spoonful was absolutely delicious. Not too sweet. Just right.
On speaking to the server, I said how impressed I was with the quality and quantity of their vegan options. It turned out she is the daughter of the family who own Coca, and as a vegan herself, she had made sure vegans were very well served. Job well done!

Great option! - Edit
Came here when killing time waiting for my hotel room to be ready - saw it had a very recent review so decided to give a go. Did not disappoint! Had the vegan option of one of the chicken bowls (came with tofu instead) and a soy milk Thai milk tea (this was so good!). Staff really helpful with my nut allergy too. They also have vegan waffles which I may return for!

There are extensive vegetarian and vegan options for main meals, snacks, and deserts. Food always well presented, fresh and super tasty.
The mochi waffles with house-made soy ice cream is awesome. Want to go back to sample other vegan rice bowls I haven’t tried yet.
The atmosphere is also great, it’s a clean and relaxing hang out area overlooking gardens and the river boardwalk.

One of the owners is vegan, so she has made sure there are plenty of vegan options on the menu. Food is delicious. 🤤 Decently priced, sometimes wait times can be somewhat long if they’re busy, but otherwise a really great place! ☺️

Coca Bar is in the newer section of the Sunshine Plaza, in a lovely spot outside. The restaurant is clean and bright, with lots of seating indoors and outside. We shared a vegan strawberry bingsu and it was so refreshing and delicious. The ice cream is house made, they were very generous with the strawberries, and it was all round a lovely dessert experience. The staff were incredibly lovely and helpful. I will 100% be back to try the other flavours on the menu, plus all the other vegan options of bowls, sandwiches etc which were on offer.
