Vegan coffee shop and bakery near Chatelet-Les Halles station, since 2016. Specialty is cupcakes. Serves coffee and drinks, a selection of lunch dishes including a salad, bowl, sloppy joe burger, avocado toast, grilled cheese, soup, hummus sandwich, and of course, vegan croissants and pastries. Offers breakfast Monday through Saturday. Breakfast is from 9-11am (this location's speciality is pancakes) and lunch is served till 12-3pm. On Sunday there is two brunch sittings at 11:30am and 1:30pm - reservations are recommended. Kitchen closed 11-12 pm. Open Mon-Tue 09:00-19:00, Wed 09:00-18:00, Fri 09:00-16:00, Sat 09:00-19:00, Sun 10:00-16:00.

Vegan croissants, pancakes and latte - Edit
This was my second time at Cloud Cakes. For the full French experience, they have vegan croissants. It’s a cute coffee shop and they are OK if you get out your computer and work for a couple hours— but don’t do this during the lunch hour when the place is busy. For an unknown reason I was craving pancakes so ordered them, they were good but rather thin. They came with fruit and though I’m not much into whipped cream and was surprised to see it on top of my pancakes, it was delicious.

We had a cloud salad with vegan feta, cranberries, walnuts and sweet potato that was really delicious. The ham sandwich was also good, but would have been better with real bread instead of the toast.

This was excellent as a tourist in Paris. The croissants were so soft and delicious. I also got the marble cake which was one of my favorite things I ate that trip. The staff was so helpful, I went twice on my short trip. There were no lines, but I went close to when they opened.

There was a line of about 6 people when I got there so I thought it was going to go fast… but no, it took me at least 30min in line to be able to order, however I must say the poor guy who was taking the orders was also cleaning tables, serving the food, making the coffee, I mean he was doing everything except cooking, so yeah I think they were understaffed and that’s understandable. I ordered the pancakes and they were tasty but I wouldn’t go back for them if I have to stand in line for that long.

Went for breakfast and ordered the Cloud Cakes Breakfast menu which consisted of my choice of coffee drink, my choice of juice, a croissant, a couple pieces of bread, and various jams, jellies, and a vegan Nutella. All in all a solid simple French breakfast. Nothing about the food was life-changing, except for the coffee which was a beetroot latte. The beets made it a unique and delicious warm drink which was well presented! There was a turmeric golden latte on the menu as well which would have been my choice if they hadn’t had something as unique as the beet latte.

The toastie had cheese, mushroom and capsicum with a bread that had walnuts baked into it. The toastie was fine, nothing super amazing. It was sort of a healthy version of a toastie
The croissant was also fine, it was lole a wholemeal pastry so again, felt sort of healthy

Friendly staff, chilled out atmosphere, tasty variety of vegan cakes, and breakfast and lunch dishes. I had the grilled cheese with the matcha latte glacé, and then had some macarons and a slice of Speculoos cake to go. Highly recommend if you're looking for somewhere casual for breakfast or lunch, or to pick up some cakes.
