I enjoyed the Complete Brunch--a waffle, syrup, two sausage patties, vegan egg, potatoes, blueberries, and strawberries.

Holy Shiii 😋 - Edit
SO GOOD. SO GOOD. SO GOOD. My first time here, I ordered the beef & cheese empanada and mozza stix. I had to double-check to make sure this stuff was vegan because it tasted SO legit. One day I’ll get some of the healthier options but I was hungry for some of my favs today 😋

Amazing that this food court downtown has an all-plant spot - Edit
Alan Schuman saves old historic Reading properties and makes beautiful things out of them. I don't know how he does it. This was a crumbling bank at 6th and Washington which many people remember from long ago. It is now what looks like 2 ground floor spaces inside, with restaurant stands where the tellers once were, and you can still see the vault. Look up at the ceilings. The people who work in this area are so lucky, and I am so lucky to have an all-vegan spot downtown with a large menu to work my way through. Upstairs are apartments and businesses.
Read moreIf you don't see anyone at Clean Plates in the back on the left, ring the bell. They cook in the back. We had already had lunch but snacked on a few things and took the rest home: tender and savory mushroom cheezesteak sandwich, a huge portion of fried glazed Brussels sprouts, and a big empanada stuffed with Impossible meat. Their fresh pressed juices are delicious too.
There is a large common dining area with polished black tile and a cute long raised area on the side. You can only get in one door right near the corner; I wish the other door was open. Pulse Cafe right beside CP also has vegan options. I will be back to try many things. Parking is tricky but available in front with a credit card and on side streets with Park mobile. There is a garage nearby on Reed Street and parking in back that I am not sure of the rules for. Extremely friendly service. Outdoor seating is coming soon.
Pros: All-vegan downtown!, call-ahead for your order available, empanadas!
Cons: Parking tho I have been twice & could park close
