Classic Slice Pizza

Traveling from out of town, we had time for one more meal before leaving Milwaukee. We decided to try this pizzeria. What fun. The slices of pizza are huge. You actually get a mini-sized pizza in the shape of a huge slice. 2 slices are roughly the equivalent of a small pizza anywhere else. The choices for toppings are beyond the usual - jalapenos, cilantro, etc. Great taste. Vegan options. Very unusual and interesting salads.

We've eaten at Classic Slice several times now and love it there. The slices are huge and good with or without the vegan cheese. It's always fast, they have several specifically vegan pizza options (and you can make your own) and also have some really good soy stix (cheesy bread sticks). A bit pricey but worth the splurge every once in a while.

Great vegan slices, I especially like the Anne Curry with curry sauce and tofu! Their breadsticks and calzones can also be made vegan, and they often have vegan baked desserts (cupcakes). The portion sizes are huge, so go hungry!

I enjoy eating at Classic Slice. It is not in my neighborhood but they seem to cater to many community and activist events always providing vegan pizza! For Milwaukee, that is amazing! When I have dined in, the staff and atmosphere have been very pleasant. I like the personal flair to the photos in the hallway leading to the restrooms- which have always been immaculate. (Have you noticed reviewers freaking out about restrooms on this site?) Anyway, if your looking for pizzeria pizza that is vegan, in Milwaukee I would send you no where else.

I've eaten Classic Slice a lot and they're pretty good. I do get sick of the same 3 vegan specialty pizzas though. It would be nice if they expanded that selection. They do deliver though, so that's a plus! They also have Follow Your Heart vegan cheese, but they charge extra for it and you only get a sprinkling of it over the top of the pizza.

As the name suggests, Classic Slice sells pizza by the slice. Unfortunately, they won't make the slices without cheese, so if you want to a vegan pizza, you have to order a 9" mini pie (which is about the size and price of 2 slices) or a whole pizza. They do have vegan pizzas listed right on their menu, including a Super Veggie (with red sauce, mushrooms, broccoli, spinach, fresh basil and either tofu or vegan sausage), the Anne Curry (curry sauce with broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes and tofu) and the Mediterranean pizza (olive tapenade with sundried tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms and vegan sausage). It's not on their menu for some reason, but they also offer vegan cheese, which is Follow Your Heart mozzarella. If I could change one thing, I'd suggest they use Daiya cheese or even Teese instead of the FYH cheese (and that they mention the vegan cheese on their menu), but the fact that they offer it at all is pretty awesome. Their pizza dough and red sauce are both very delicious. The breadsticks are also vegan, and they're basically just pizza dough with olive oil and lots of garlic. Calzones can be made vegan as well.
