Definitely a local institution and a really cute place! The vegan soft serve was really fun and has great novelty factor, but the chocolate is waaay better than the vanilla, which was bland. Good variety of hard ice creams as well.

Excellent vegan soft serve - Edit
The vanilla is amazing. Chocolate was good but slightly less so. Does not accept credit cards, so bring cash. Waffle cones and sugar cones were both great as well.

This was some of the best vegan ice cream I've had. I think they had 8 flavors plus chocolate and vanilla soft serve. The blueberry, chocolate peanut butter, and chocolate raspberry were all fabulous!

We contemplated a few different ice cream shops with vegan options and this one was the WINNER! They had at least 3 non dairy soy ice creams, a vanilla and chocolate almond milk soft serve, and some non dairy sorbets. I was very happy with this stop! CASH ONLY

We had the chocolate & vanilla soft ice cream and the almond & chocolate soy ice cream, both vegan. The first one was made of almond milk and was our favorite. First time I see soft vegan ice cream, really happy!

I had the soft serve, and it was a coffee/chocolate twist. Coffee and chocolate are two of my favorite things. I will crave it for the rest of my life, as I know I may never find it again! Vegan soft serve ice cream is not something I come across often in my travels, and it's not available near where I live.

Service was quick and had some amazing soft serve vegan ice cream, in addition to vegan hard ice cream and sorbet options. Very vegan friendly and we were excited and suprised to find such good ice cream lovally on Bar Harbor and hope to see more.

I took a trip to CJ's with the expectation of mediocre non-dairy ice cream. but this, this had the consistency of gelato! 11/10 recommendation. even if you're not vegan you'll love it!!! I got the raspberry/swirl. I'd pay good money for this dessert. ps my mother wanted to say for all you vegetarians that the blueberry gelato is bomb!!!
