What can I say been to many Indian Restaurants but when it comes to vegan options Cinnamon Spice has to be number 1!

Good choice of dishes off the vegan menu. The vegan chana sag bhuna was sooooo tasty. Definitely one of my top 3 Indian restaurants in the UK

I was in the area for the day so popped here for a takeaway lunch and had the vegan naan with chana chaat and it was absolutely delicious with a lovely fluffy naan and a very rich gravy on the chickpeas. It was so nice that I had to go back on my way home to get a takeaway evening meal too! For round two I tried the biryani and shingara - delicious again.
Read moreThe vegan menu is not huge (it's different from the one uploaded to HC a few years ago) and doesn't include a lot of the staples like dahl, onion bhajies or Bombay potatoes so although the food is fabulous I can imagine you run out of different things to keep trying if you're local, but I'd happily eat everything I ordered again and would like to eat in to sample the slightly larger dine in menu.
One thing to be aware of is there's definitely a bit of a vegan tax with the vegan naan and biryani costing more than the regular ones, but luckily the food is good enough that I didn't feel ripped off. Also, I looked to see if I could order in advance on their website but noticed the menu is different from what's in the restaurant (the naan isn't on it, for example) so that's a shame. Next time I'll probably phone ahead to avoid the 15 minute wait.

Stopped here on our way home (to curry capital Leicester!!) from France, as a vegan restaurant app I use mentioned this place had a separate vegan menu, which is appreciated. We ordered 2 papads, 1 starter, 2 mains, 1 rice & 1 naan and some drinks that came to £70. The starter arrived with the mains! When we questioned this, the staff said it was because “it’s late & the kitchen is closing”—it was not even 20:40! The food was tasty—but not amazing & certainly not anything like “fine dining” another reviewer has stated. However, the prices seem incredible! Our waiter (seemed new, as was receiving training) was pleasant, but overall, I am not sure I’d return.

Fantastic menu showing full allergen list against every item which makes it great for choosing vegan and gluten free options. We always get a lovely meal here.

This is located in a small parade of shops. Lots of vegan options and it’s always reassuring to order from a vegan menu. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good value. Free parking.
