A Place to Splurge on a Drink $$$

Happy to have finally found a place with options, but damn. No wonder locals don’t buy it.

I ordered a vegan hot chocolate and the menu clearly states that s and m sizes are available, but the staff told me there was actually only one size. I took it with almond milk and the price came out to 70EGP! Wow, that’s the priciest latte I’ve seen in the entire country. I thought a litre of almond milk at the supermarket was expensive, but this is next level. Could be location, but a small hot chocolate on the menu is only 42EGP and 48EGP for m. That’s almost double the price for a plant based milk swap. Expensive drink- sure, but expensive add on or swap? That’s a poor business practice.

-1 ⭐️ for the “plant milk tax” punishing vegans, lactose intolerant people, and just anyone who wants to make better food choices for the planet, animals, and themselves. I get it’s expensive to buy, but that’s more than the entire litre and then some.

Pros: Carries vegan milk, Good location with a view, Customisable drinks

Cons: No vegan food options , Ridiculously expensive to swap to plant milk, Inconsistency in sizing options
