Nice vegan fast food

I go here often when I'm in a bit of a hurry and don't want a huge meal. Very friendly service, nice tasting food with super fresh vegetables. Yummie, cheap and healthy fast food.

Pros: Fast

Cons: Cold

Good for a quick bite

I had heard quiet about Cigkoftem and was curious to taste. The woman who was helping was very friendly, but for me the cigkoftem didn't taste very special.

I got a cold paste of couscous with a mixture on a Turkish bread with some raw vegetables and fresh lemon juice on the bread.

When I need a quick bite in the neighbourhood, then I would go there again.

Pros: Friendly, Vegan, Cheap

Çiğkoftem - spicy vegan snacks

This branch of the popular Turkish fast-food chain "Çiğköftem" is located at The Hague's colorful multicultural shopping street Paul Krugerlaan in the Transwaal quarter, easy to reach by public transport.

The main dish is çiğkaftem, a vegan mixture of (cracked) bulgur, tomato paste, oil, salt, red pepper and 18 spices, served cold. The version I had was quite spicy, but very good. It was served with some vegetables and a hot sauce. Other variations (with Turkish lavas bread) were available, too.

As other "Çiğköftem" branches in The Netherlands, they sell also some meat - based snacks.

The staff was friendly and the place very clean.

A good place to go for a quick (and cheap!) vegetarian/vegan snack, although I would prefer some more variation, for example a selection of fresh salads.

Pros: good value , nice snack, multicultural environment

Cons: serve also meat, not too much variation
