So good! - Edit
Vegan for all! All vegan restaurant in heart of downtown St Petersburg. My boyfriend and I enjoyed spinach and artichoke dip, cheesesteak sandwich with Mac and cheese, spicy black bean burger with potato salad. For dessert we had a mint chocolate chip cupcake and cookie dough doughnut.

Great location, new menu very diverse and lots of options—my non vegan friends like it, food varies from good to amazing. Cold corn cashew soup and fried green tomatoes recent standouts.

Great food - Edit
The food here was great. However, it seems like they're often out of (non-seasonal) items on their menu which was frustrating.

I didn’t realize this was an all vegan place at first! - Edit
They look like a nice place to go once a week or month, and not obviously vegan, except for the waiter t-shirts. They serve vegan alternatives to animal products including the impossible burger (or that other one?). It’s a nice enough place to have family or business meetings. A meat eater I went with thought their Cuban sandwich tastes better than the real deal in Miami! Service is great.

IMPRESSIVE! - Edit
100% Vegan and I’ve never been happier eating out! Everyone was super friendly and attentive while dining. I was by myself and I never once felt alone or awkward. The staff was very knowledgeable about all of the items and made recommendations. They knew exactly what ingredients were in the plates, how it was served and I never once heard “oh ummm I’ll find out.” I especially complimented the Corn Chowder. Seriously, it’s served cold and it is bursting with flavor. The most well-balanced flavors of coconut and corn without being overly sweet. I like to play “surprise me” when it comes to drinks so I was asked about what kind of things I like, what I don’t. One item mentioned was a huge no-no for me so she said she was glad she asked, honestly if she didn’t I wouldn’t have thought anything of it and been in some kind of trouble. She pulled the perfect flight for me and my tastebuds. I don’t even like citrus and the Tangerine Whit was one of my favorites.

Delicious! - Edit
I have tried the Cuban sandwich, the cheesesteak, the Mac and cheese, yuca fries, and a cupcake. The Cuban was very good. The cheesesteak had a patty torn up in pieces, covered in melted, gooey cheese. Also tried the Bloody Mary, which was excellent. The cocktails are wine-based, but do not taste like it.

One of the best - Edit
Whether you want clean, raw, health oriented food and smoothies, or comfort imitation vegan food, they’ve got it all. The falafel burger, raw buffalo cauliflower, spinach and artichoke dip, and the berry smoothie were all fantastic. Gluten free/vegan rolls too, which is rare for most places. I’d eat here every day if I didn’t live 600 miles away

Brunch heaven - Edit
Everything. You. Read. Is. Vegan! Or raw vegan. The options were almost overwhelming! My semi-carnivorous boyfriend and I went for brunch. He got the waffles affogatto (which we found out later is one of the choices highly suggested for people who aren't as willing to start eating vegan "meat" and "eggs") and I got the eggs benedict. He had an option of waffle batter and it was served with ice cream, espresso and freah maple syrup. So delicious! I had an option of egg substitute - tofu or a brand name egg substitite I've never heard before. Of course, I went for the later option. This was the largest, tastiest, most satisfying breakfast I've had in ages! The eggs were very realistic. It was served in a soft-scrambled manner with hollandaise sauce over 3 biscuits, which were also super yummy. You could definitely make 2-3 meals out of the portion I had. Definitely worth the $12. I feel like I need to go back to try every item off their menu!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I travel to Tampa for work every other week and I always make time to visit Cider Press. My favorite vegan restaurant. I have taken non vegan friends and family with me and have never had a complaint. My favorite is the flatbread, the buffalo cauliflower, the kale salad. The chocolate cake and the salted caramel cheesecake are delicious. A must try if you are in the area.

Great Selection of Vegan Food - Edit
Our party of 4 all had good food. Two members of our group ordered different burgers, & both burgers got rave reviews! The vegan Mac & cheese side also was well liked. The ranch kale salad was superb as well the only food disappointment was the chicken gyro, which was like store-bought chix on pita—my home version easily surpassed this rather lame offering.
Read moreAnother detractor was a rude staff member—one if worst I’ve ever encountered. While seating a couple at the table behind me someone knocked hit a glass hard enough to make it break & glass spread everywhere, including my across my feet w/ sandals. Rather than displaying an ounce of consideration for my well-being or helpful comments about where the glass had spread, the server was snarky & told me she didn’t need or want any input...that she was perfectly capable of cleaning it up. Having been beaten quiet with the server’s stink-eye & nasty comments, I endured my meal w/ feet surrounded w/ glass shards, which remained even after the table was bussed & seated with another party. Due to the poor treatment, I’m not sure I’d return.
Pros: Good vegan burger, Good vegan Mac & Cheese, Upscale, hip surroundings
Cons: HORRIBLE customer service!

Came here when I was in town visiting my family. I was thrilled to find a vegan restaurant near them. The food was decent and the atmosphere nice, however for the price the portions were rather small. Definitely was still hungry after.

Vegan Heaven - Edit
Cider Press is hands down one of my favorite vegan spots. They are so creative with their meals and I am absolutely obsessed with their avoBLT with the egg plant “bacon” 🥰! They also have really good iced lattes too if you just want to stop and grab a quick mid day pick me up. Their ghost pepper burger and buffalo “chicken” sandwich is to die for. I am serious when I say that this place is an absolute must if you’re in the St. Pete area. The atmosphere is really nice and modern, they offer outside seating as well. Their staff is super nice and helpful. Their meal prices are reasonable too. I have nothing negative to say about my experience with this establishment!
