I ate this so fast I almost forgot to take a picture - Edit
The cheong fun was so fresh and bouncy it was fantastic (ofc I watched him steam them all on the spot). I got plain, dough sticks and the mixed one and they were all really good. The cheong fun one really hit the spot for me as I was craving it and it certainly satisfied the craving. The mixed one had Chinese pickled vegetables which might not be for everyone though. The owner was also super nice! All 3 only cost rm17 as well.

A local gem! 💎 - Edit
Delicious food! Never had anything like it before. It’s rice flour mixed with water and I believe tapioca, then poured into a flat sheet pan and steamed. Fillings are added and then the sheet is folded, creating this steamed rice roll.
Read moreIt’s chewy, soft and the fillings are delicious! 🤤 Tried vegan char siew and vegan chicken - generous amount and tasty. Comes with some of the best sambal I’ve tasted and some homemade sweet soy sauce. Got it delivered and had it at the restaurant once - I think both has the same quality. It delivers perfectly!

The one and only!!! - Edit
This is the one and only vegetarian (vegan) Hong Kong Style Vegetarian Cheong Fun in Penang. There are a variety of flavours that you can choose from and the owner is expanding the menu. E-wallet available for payment. Tips for parking: try to park as far as you can away from the crowd as it is hardly possible to get one which is near to the shop.

Pros: good food, good value, friendly staff
Cons: not enough parking space, in meat selling place
