Cosy place in the Old street - Edit
Quite a few noodle or rice options, plus mochi! We ate here twice for dinner. They closed at 7:30pm on Sunday and we're closed at 7pm on Monday. To be on the safe side get here around 6pm😄on the second day they had run out of rice by 6:20pm.
Read moreBut the food is good! Theres some tasty mock meat and money mushroom! The herbal mushroom soup is good (180), veg noodles (150) and small bowl of braised vegan pork (60). Mochi is 60!

Nice to have a sit down place in the crowded old streets! Friendly staff and good meals… I couldn’t quite find out if the pork balls business that shares the same space were vegan or not.. maybe someone who speaks mandarin can let us know!

Vegan eatery among the touristy alleys. It's nothing much, but at least it provides some options in Juifen. I really liked the hot rice cakes

It's a nice restaurant with friendly owners. They have a variety of food and it's very tasty. The prices are absolutely ok and the veggies are neither boiled nor bland at all.

Most of the food is bland and either steamed or boiled which is not that common, but might appeal to those looking for light and toddler-friendly food. The ice cream is very good but the mochis are just blobs of riceflour. Quite expensive at 150 dollars per plate.

Yummy mango mochi icecream - Edit
I got the mango mochi icecream since I was already almost full, and it was soooo good. They put black sesame powder and (i guess it's kinako ?) on top. That was really tasty, and the bowl was huge!! Also the staff is really nice and friendly even if they don't really speak english, they were welcoming and happy to have foreigners visiting them!
