VEGETARIANS, VEGANS, AND ANYONE WITH ALLERGIES AVOID THIS PLACE

It makes me so sad to write this review. We got "vegetarian" burritos from Chuy's so many times only to find they use chicken broth in the rice. That isn't what earns them a one star though- that is just a bummer. The one star is that they straight up lied to us about it. Here's how it happened: We ordered from here probably once or twice a week for a year, assuming ingredients in a *vegetarian burrito* would be vegetarian. Then I got curious about how their rice was made and asked my husband to call and ask about chicken broth. They confirmed that the rice WAS made with chicken broth. My husband said thank you and hung up. I was bummed but assumed it was just a lack of clarity on their part on what "vegetarian" meant to those of us who don't eat meat (or animal drippings!) so I had him call back and suggest they change their menu to say "veggie" instead of "vegetarian". At this point they denied it and said it had been a new chef (3 minutes earlier) and he was confused and that the rice did NOT contain chicken broth. Fishy, ya? So we wait a week and call during a different shift. This shift confirms that they do use chicken broth in the rice but they ALWAYS ask people ordering a vegetarian burrito if they want rice. The rice that is included under the menu description of their vegetarian burrito. The rice they never once asked us about in a YEAR. Yeah, no.
So this is a big, long, whiny post all about a little broth? Naw, it's about the lies.
