Loved it when I went in 2021, but now the vegetables seem to be from frozen (some were even still cold,) beans seem to be from the can without even a rinse, and nothing is flavorful. I'm giving a second star because the staff is nice and there are vegan options, but I won't be going here again.

I have fond memories of Chubby’s (Raleigh location), going every Monday for $1 off burritos with friends for a burrito that would last 2 meals. The phrase “hole in the wall” definitely comes to mind. Fast, cheap, greasy with a good salsa bar and 3 veggie options. The size of the burrito did seem much smaller during my recent visit. The mixed drink I ordered was mediocre. Without the salsa and nostalgia, my rating is probably closer to a 2, but that guacatillo brings it to a 3.

I tried the sweet potato and black bean, tofu and vegetables, and portobello mushroom tacos. The mushroom taco was very wet and messy. The sweet potato and black bean was the best, very tasty. The tofu and vegetable taco was bland. The taco shells tasted great, and they had a decent salsa bar and chips. Priced fairly.

Best place for cheap food - Edit
I love this place! it's my go to for cheap really good food. The portabello mushroom taco is really good and juicy (they cook the mushrooms with pico de gallio so it's juicy and has lots of flavor). The black beans and sweet potato taco is also really good, especially if you pour a bunch of salsa of your choice on it (otherwise, it's a little dry). The Spanish rice is pretty standard and also delicious.

The place has a hole in the wall sort of feel to it. It's still nice to sit and eat your meal, but it's more of a hang out and chillax type of place, not a super fancy type of place.
