Nice local restaurant, all vegan - Edit

I ate lunch there today. The place doesn't really seem like a restaurant from the outside so just move in. Very friendly people without English knowledge. They have a couple of pre cooked tofu and veggie dishes, which you can easily choose by pointing on them. I got a soup, bowl of rice and 4 pieces of tofu/veggie for 45k. It was all worth it. Highly recommended, if you are keen with traditional local food.
Peace

Pros: All vegan, Fast, Cheap

Cons: Pre cooked

Buddhist Vegan Food - Edit

This is a great little place near a pagoda that has a variety of options. It's 100% vegan so you don't have to ask specifics. I would recommend getting rice and only selecting a few items, like my friend did. I forfeited the rice and chose to get quite a few items and my total was somewhere around 120,000 which is quite expensive for Hanoi. Nonetheless, it was pretty good despite being pre-made.

Pros: English-speaking staff (basic)

Nice - Edit

Plenty dishes including spring rolls and dumpling. We had about almost of their dishes at once and costs 140.000vnd for 2 people. Heat up your food with pans and microwave oven, which usually has not been done at some places selling premade foods

Pros: Delicious

Most local and typical atmosphere - Edit

This restaurant is next to the pagoda in a small alley. It is really a village vibe as ladies come to ask about the news, watch tv, talk about the weather... The alley is quiet, bouddhists from the pagoda come to eat here.

The food is simple but delicious. You point what you would like to order and it is brought to you with a soup and some rice.

We were two people and ordered three stuffs each (nem, two bits of green banana, a fried veg dumpling), we had to pay 55.000 VND for two.

Pros: very local atmosphere

Cons: no english spoken
