I was longing for Thai food that is vegan, however, my husband is not vegan, so we had to find sa place that has good food for both of us - Chu Chu was recommended and as it has good reviews on Happy Cow, this is where we went. I am not 100% sure everybody there understands what vegan means, so when I asked for a vegan version of the "Chicken with Cashew stir fry", I emphasized it should not contain any fish sauce. Well, it was as delicious as it looked! It was "just" the vegetables and cashews in this amazing sauce (no meat substitute). I only found out later you have to specifically ask for tofu (I thought they didn't have any), which I will do the next time. PS: They call summer rolls "fresh spring rolls" .

Average food but confident it was vegan! - Edit
The food here was average - totally edible but nothing special. That said, it was the most confident I’ve been about ordering vegan on the island. The waiter understood vegan and repeated back “no egg, no fish”. I also heard him shout “vegan” to the chefs as they called our order. And no suspiciously eggy looking bits in our pad thai!

Read moreToday, I tried a green curry pizza for the first time and my mind is blown! Absolutely loved it! And can totally see myself trying to recreate it when I’m back home.
Edit: we’re hooked so we’ve come back here a bunch of times already. The curries are just so flavorful - on pizza or not! Absolute love ❤️

I had the red curry pizza, and they were happy for this to be vegetarian - I got the sense most pizzas could be veggie. I didn't see any mention of vegan cheese on the menu so not sure about how to make them vegan. The pizza itself was delicious and hot.
Read moreThe rest of the menu was Thai food, this looked well varied. We did not pay a lot overall and really enjoyed our time here. The restaurant was busy so service took a little while but staff were friendly and helpful.

Great veggie pad Thai and service - Edit
We had the veg pad Thai which was lovely. Not 100% sure about other ingredients used but it was a veg pad Thai so we took our chance to have a veg version of local cuisine. It was full of flavour, the fresh spring rolls were large, simple but fresh. The drinks, iced tea and shakes were good too. Service was great. It does get busy just to be wary however it seemed that their expanding across the street too. I'll be going again anyways. Would recommend.

First we had a waiter that didn’t speak English that well. So we were wondering if he did pick up on no oyster sauce and such. But then a colleague stepped in that spook English very well to assist and double check.

I liked the vegetation pad Thai and we also had a vegan mixed vegetables in soya sauce.
Can recommended.

They offer pizzas with Pad Thai or Curry flavor. Definitely wanted to try that. The dough was surprisingly good. The topping do taste like Pad Thai but for me it wasn't something I enjoy as a combination with pizza dough. But still think it was worth it to make this experience.

Food was delicious and it was really nice to have somthing different! Pan thai pizza, genius! Service was slow but they were 2 people down and so apologetic, couldn't have done more for us. Understood when we asked to have without cheese and egg to make it vegan and this was no problem. Will be going back for sure! Lots to try

Highly recommend. Like a flat bread, but pad Thai flavors. Big pizza (1 or 2 ppl 175 B). I got with tofu, it was really good. They have massaman and panang too.

Best little restaurant in Koh Tao - Edit
They can make most dishes vegan, Massaman, Pad Thai, Panang Curry. Also their Thai fusion pizzas can be done Cheese-less and are top quality. Just tell them your vegan.
