Excellent - Edit
You wouldn't think Wigton could support a health food shop, but Chrysalis is subsidised because it provides employment for the learning disabled, and how lucky for us that it is. This has been a well-stocked and welcoming shop in all the years I have lived in Cumbria. The staff always greet you heartily and can supply you with almost everything you need (including things like Redwood vegan bacon and cheese). The shop is a good size and also sells fairly traded handicrafts and some supplements.
Read moreThe only thing that disappoints me is that the staff are no longer allowed to write the product labels by hand: I miss the days when coriander was labelled "corimnoer".
Pros: Friendly, clean, well-stocked
Cons: None
