Let down. Updated review 11-11-21 - Edit
Chopstix has two locations: Monterey and Seaside. This review is for seaside location. Turns out, the “vegan” items on menu are not vegan! I double checked about oyster sauce in their stir fried tofu ramen and other things. The server checked and let know the sauce they use is bottled and has animal derivatives and there’s no way of making the food without it. Meaning all rice plates that include stir fried tofu or anything like that labeled “vegan” are NOT vegan because they use that particular sauce on all of them. She then told me THE ONLY VEGAN ITEMS ARE VEGGIE SOUPS! I asked why are things labeled vegan if they aren’t?? She could not answer me and did not mention anything about making that right/fixing the menu.

I was knowingly served meat and the girl working there didn’t try to make it right. She acted like it was my fault I didn’t like meat.
