Way upon expectation - Edit
The café is located deep inside a commercial building (with Hong Kong-style cuisine on the third floor). They offer set meals, mini hot pots, sandwiches and Italian dishes.
Read moreI ordered the pasta and risotto. I wouldn't call it traditional or super authentic, but it has that comforting, home-cooked style reminiscent of a Taiwanese mom's cooking. The rice was cooked perfectly, not mushy, and each bite was filled with finely chopped vegetables (cabbage, zucchini, mushrooms, and bell peppers). The tomato-based sauce was well-balanced in flavor, making it absolutely delicious! The pesto had a refreshing taste, like freshly crushed herbs.
Pros: Comforting taste, Good vibe, ease and relax
Cons: Location

Large Veggy Restaurant suitable for events - Edit
We got here by bike, riding along the river (the last bit through the city was a bit tricky though), otherwise one can ride the metro to Zhongyuan station and walk here.
Read more崇德發 is an old Taiwanese multi-brand, which, amongst others, sells soy milk, snacks, malt beer, as well as cosmetics etc.
On the first floor, there is a "supermarket", selling everything from veggy meat, frozen pizzas, nuts, snacks, tea, but apparently also clothes, cut crystal accessories as well as extension cords. Yeah, random, I know.
There is also a café on first floor, but that is NOT the veggy restaurant listed here.
Anyway, the restaurant this post is about is on third floor. They have a large choice of set menu's, the cheapest starting from NTD 1,2k ( 10% service fee) for two, ranging all the way up to NTD 13,8k /table for weddings and other major events.
We ordered á la carte and were quite satisfied. We were warned that we would have to wait approximately 15-20 minutes since it was already past 1pm, and the place was packed due to a public holiday, but in the end we only waited for about 10 minutes.
The taste was very good, and we will be back to try more dishes.
As for the portion size, we (she Taiwanese, he Westerner) had eight dishes totalling NTD 1269 (incl. 10% service tax) (one pure greens, one stewed rice, six soup dumplings, three pieces of taro cake, etc.) two malt beers and were both full and fully satisfied.
Pros: Big, bilingual menu , Labels for products with dairy and egg (Chinese) , Moderate prices
Cons: Not really

不錯的一間專業料理(蔬)素食館 - Edit
