Good for Vegans - Edit
Saw this place on happycow and ate here some years ago; was just here again this week. Here's my Choice health bar on Maui review.
Read moreIt's a busy place at meal time. The food options are healthy and all plant-based including raw food. Uses honey & pollen in some things. We've tried the healthy platter, epic platter, acai bowl with fresh fruit, smoothie. Overall light and healthy.

Cold Press Coffee Not Great - Edit
Unfortunately, the cold-pressed coffee fell short of expectations; the milk didn't integrate well with the coffee, resulting in an unpleasant texture. However, the menu boasts a wide array of delicious-looking items and I would come back again to try a couple of the food options.

Cons: Cold press coffee didn't mix well with the milk

Amazing food! Great service. Burrito bowl is the best! Easy to park because it’s off the main tourist road.

The coffee flavor smoothie - Edit
Can't remember what it's called. Top right of the menu. Anyways it's vegan and really good. They have other vegan options but this was the one I got. My girlfriend got the avocado toast and I tried some and it was maybe the best executed avocado toast i have ever had.

Cons: There aren't really any, Maybe the menu isn't fully vegan?

Best Vegan Food!! - Edit
One of our favorite reasons to come to Maui is to eat at Choice! We’ve been vegan for 10 years and Choice is one of our top 3 favorite vegan places we’ve ever eaten at. It’s so great to have fresh, real, filling and delicious food to eat on vacation. Everyone is so nice. We have eaten there at least 12-15 times and never had a bad experience. Can’t say enough good things!!

Choice is a wonderful restaurant. The salads and tempeh wraps are my favorite & their tomato soup when they have it. Absolutely delicious. Their açaí bowls are huge and very good.

Exactly What You’d Expect - Great! - Edit
Choice Health Bar was exactly what I was hoping for. I had an açaí bowl without honey, while my husband had a tempeh wrap with Caesar salad. Both were excellent. I have no complaints.

Small but Mighty - Edit
This tiny corner food bar is in the Whalers Village, a short walk from any of the Kaanapali area hotels. Excellent wraps and salads. As others have commented, the açaí bowl was delicious. Good outdoor seating available also some Indoor seating in a small food court area.

Watch for Honey/Bee Pollen if that’s not your jam - Edit
Visited February 2018 and ordered the special (a walnut meatball dish), and a smoothie. Both were good. Some items have honey and/or bee pollen in them, so if you are vegan, watch out for that.

Great flavor, small portions - Edit
There's plenty to love on the menu at Choice Health Bar — and that's a good thing, since you might need more than one item to fill up if you arrive with an appetite, as portions are on the small side. I had the raw pizza (which was surprisingly tiny, even by raw-food restaurant standards) but tasty. Still hungry, I followed it up with a smoothie and a dessert. Service was friendly. Prices feel a little on the high side considering the unusually small portions, but the quality is good. Enjoy!

great acai bowls - Edit
We loved our acai bowls. Sadly the granola on the bowls had honey. You could substitute gf granola for $2 or vegan/gf homemade granola for $3. I added the homemade granola, which was expensive but it was really good! The acai bowls were a good size and filled us up. Wish we went more than once to try other menu items

Delicious fresh cafe. But if you have a big appetite and a small budget, watch out... It’ll get expensive quick.

Gem in Maui - Edit
Wow! Really delicious food made with love. We ate the zucchini noodles alfredo. Yummy! The flavors were perfectly blended with mushrooms, just the right amount of garlic and a macadamia creamy alfredo sauce. The dish came with tasty quinoa & salad. It even included a delectable desert all for $14. The place was jumping and the staff were really friendly. We will return during our stay in Maui.

Mostly excellent + reef safe sunscreen - Edit
We visited this place twice and had an assortment of vegan meals, treats, and drinks. Most things were excellent:
Read moreUlu Breadfruit soup with quinoa + greens (great)
Acai bowl (average)
Coconut chia pudding (excellent)
Cacao peanut butter krispie bar thing (excellent)
Ginger Pineapple kombucha (excellent)
Pineapple Mint kombucha (excellent)
This place also sells a variety of reef safe sunscreen -- we used Mama Kuleana for our entire stay. It was fantastic and effective for our entire stay across a variety of activities.
This place gets very busy and the staff seems to get a little rushed and flustered. Didn't affect our meals much, but it did seem unusual relative to almost every other place we visited on our stay.
Pros: Great desserts, Reef safe sunscreen
Cons: Rushed staff

Great lunch - Edit
Stopped by here for lunch while driving around the area. Had the gourmet plate where I got a kale salad, an entree, and a small bite-sized dessert. A bit spendy at $17 but everything was delicious and healthy. Just wish I had got to try more stuff.

Light and healthy meal - Edit
I had a mixed plate and the food was good and not overly filling, so suitable for the weather. All dishes are with Kale, all bows with acai, but I came only a couple times, so the variety is sufficient. Great Kombucha. Packed even at 3pm.
