Honestly have no clue if the choco banana is vegan. Server said it was but other reviewers say it is not. Up to you if you’re willing to test your luck. Otherwise, banana was great and very cool idea. Had nachos as well, nothing too special.

Satisfying Breakfast - Edit
This place was crowded! They’ve got a big menu with a few great vegan options. I ordered the pancake and definitely couldn’t eat it all. It was so filling and delicious. They brought me agave syrup with ginger. I also ordered a ginger fruit punch, which was also amazing.

Not vegan - staff checked today - Edit
We were excited to try this place out after reading about it on happy cow, but when we arrived the menu has lots of the “v” with the leaf on it, but some of the items were clearly not vegan (like ahi fish tacos), and a lot of the sauces I was surprised to see vegan. In small print on the menu, the V says it stands for vegetarian (which still fish isn’t vegetarian), and I asked the server about the chocolate on the bananas - he checked the ingredients list on the container and it has milk powder! Do not eat here if vegan. Some of the other “imitation” choco bananas in town are in fact vegan, not having milk in their chocolate.

Acceptable pancake and decaf coffee - Edit
Got the pancake with jam and it was... OK. It was in the center of town so there's a lot going on there. There were Aztec Dancers performing 20 feet away in the town center. Later a woman with a guitar and amp played a Bill Withers song very well (Ain't No Sunshine). The decaf coffee was nice.

Meat freezer burn taste - Edit
Don't get the Chocobanana here. Since they share the freezer with meat you can taste the freezer burn meat taste infused into the banana. It's pretty gross if you are a vegan. Wait staff are friendly and professional.

Don’t believe the hype. Unless tourist traps are your thing. Veggie salad served with chicken. Vegan bowl was the most bland thing ever. Menu said it included vegan ranchero sauce in bowl. Nope. Not vegan. It wasn’t pleasant. Very fast. Not concerned with vegan. Left us wondering if anything purporting to be vegan actually was.

Tons of vegan options and best chocolate bananas - Edit
I was obsessed with the chocolate bananas. My bf got the coconut and I got the granola one. We came by for lunch one day and got a garbanzo bean burger, and came back with my family for breakfast and shared a few dishes. Really good. Honestly had one of the biggest vegan menus I had seen in sayulita. Next time I’m in sayulita my first stop is one of those granola bananas though haha
