Worst food

This place might have done a good marketing in social media, but they did not train them as a good cook or manage the place. They should be able to serve a testy and fresh food to the customer from day one, because the first impression is the best impression and mine was the last, I will not go back to this place again. When I tested the save puri, I felt like I was eating a spoonful of garam masala and stuffing was not fresh. VadaPow was horrible and full off garam masala, Bobay vada should have a typical ginger hot paper and Kothambari--cilantro test, and it was missing in their vada's. They claim, they have Indian Fusion Chai Bar. Do they know the meaning of Fusion? I don't think so, because I did not test anything Fusion in their Chai, matter of fact, they don't know how to make a drinkable tea for anyone's test. They claim that they have a Bombay style VadaPow. Save-Pury and other items, have they ever been in Bombay and tested the food they have on their menu? Not recommended. I see many 5-star review, but I believe these reviews are written by family and friends. Service was good. This place use to be a Salerno's Pizzeria, Kate's Thai Kitchen, burger place and some other restaurants before them and they have not made any big changes to it. they did clean up re-painted and added some Indian Art.

Cons: Too much GARAM masala, They have no concept of how Indian food should be.

All spice, not nice

All we could taste was spice, and that's not nice. As a family who truly loves Indian food and supports small businesses, we ordered nearly $50 worth of food from this place, trying around 6 different items, including bowls, quesadillas, and the chaat platter. Unfortunately, every single item had one thing in common: an overwhelming amount of spice that completely masked the actual flavors.

Even the items marked mild were packed with visible red chili flakes, our gums were on fire. Mild should not mean pain. A good chef knows that real flavor comes from fresh ingredients and thoughtful balance, not just overpowering spice. Here, the vegetables and key ingredients were completely lost.

The fusion concept had potential, but the recipes need serious refinement. For example, quesadillas shouldn't taste like oily Indian pickle, that's not fusion, it's just confusion.

I'm taking the time to write this because I genuinely wanted to support this restaurant. But after spending good money and getting such poor results, I feel let down. If you're serious about long-term success, I'd strongly recommend reworking your recipes. YouTube has good recipes. There's no harm in improving, but there is harm in ignoring feedback.

The restaurant responded to the review on Google. While I appreciate that they're trying to stay true to Mumbai-style street food, but flavor isn't about heat alone. Good street food balances spice, sweetness, tang, crunch, not just chili. Even in Mumbai, not everything is fire-level spicy, especially if it's marked mild. Here, even the yogurt and chutneys couldn't offset the sharpness.

The management responded on Google saying the red chili was intentional and the quesadilla used tikka sauce, not pickle but my taste buds beg to differ. It felt heavily spiced like a fusion forced for the sake of it. If their tikka sauce is considered "mild," then they really need to re-calibrate what mild means for a wider customer base.

I spent my money in good faith, hoping to support a new venture and also spent my time giving honest feedback because I want them to succeed. But success comes from listening to real customer experiences, not just defending the spice levels. Oh and they did not apologize for my experience in their response on Google. Nothing wrong about expecting a humble apology from a new business.

Very well described. I visited this place in Feb/2025, and I had exactly the same experience. These people really don't know how to cook. If you noticed, right after your 1-star review, someone of their friend gave them 4-star reviews to dilute your review and keep their at high star.

Check out the vegan menu

Delicious Indian and Indian fusion snacks, drinks such as chai, coffee, soft drinks and a bar with cocktails. Tried the samosas and a vegan sampler with pani puri and other items. All food was very tasty. I had a vanilla rose latte with oat milk. They have a variety of plants milks. They also have a pool table and board games. Will definitely go back!
