Serves meat, vegan options available. Mexican fast food chain founded 1993 in the US and now operates outlets across North America and several more overseas. Set up is assembly line style where you could customize your order of tacos, burrito, or burrito bowl, and request no cheese or sour cream. Offers a savory sofritas filling that's made from soy protein, and some locations offer Impossible meat. Rice, beans, guacamole are vegan. In early-2019 added a pre-configured vegan bowl which includes the sofritas in addition to other fillings like guacamole. Open Mon-Sun 11:00am-10:00pm.

Always Good Sofrito

Chipotle is such a good standby! Since the introduction of their sofrito seasoned tofu, I am a true believer. I ordered a sofrito bowl, with brown rice, sofrito, black beans, fajita vegetables, corn salsa, medium salsa, romaine, and yes I got the guacamole too. I scarfed down that delicious meal, and kept working at it during breaks from the Zoom training I was attending. The last 1/4 of it I took on the road, and finished it the following morning after nuking it in the microwave for 30 seconds. This, plus crispy chips was part of the happy start to my weekend road trip!

I also really appreciate their low-waste use of packaging items. The thick paper bowl bottom kept things in good shape until I was ready to eat them, and the aluminum bowl top I repurposed into a holder for my soap and shampoo bar, and it kept me company throughout my road trip from Friday to Sunday! Whew!

Eating at Chipotle I feel like I can really get my greens, and eat stable food that is reliably of good quality. Reusing their aluminum bowl tops is just icing on the cake. :)

Pros: Always reliable, Sofritos are delicious, reusable packaging!

Cons: slightly too salty: the guac/chip combo at times, wish there were a vegan queso

Best Chipotle in Jax

Great service, best guac. I have eaten at all the Chipotle's in Jacksonville, and this is the one I keep going back to.

Pros: Sofritas, Best Guacamole, Yummy rice

Cons: Guac add expensive
