Reeeeally good *chicken* - Edit
Was passing on a motorcycle ride and found Chikhenn on Happy Cow for lunch. Gorgeous ‘chicken’ kebabs with salad and buffalo sauce. Properly nice guy running it too, passionate and knowledgeable about veganism. Eat here!

Read moreThe food itself was delicious, especially the chicken. If we lived closer, we'd be regulars. The chicken is soy based. The texture of the chicken was also really good.
The portion sizes are very generous. I do think the chips would benefit from smaller portion sizes.
We had the homemade lemonade, which was lovely. I've not drank lemonade in years and it was a nice refreshment on a hot day.

Read moreChikhenn is a small stall set in the entrance to a busy Chichester car park. They have a couple of chairs and tables to sit at. The staff who work here are extremely friendly and always offer free samples and conversation. It is safer to visit earlier in the day as they may run out of food before the end of the day. I really love this stall, the food is delicious, they give generous portions and as I said, really friendly service. There are a variety of choices on the menu, which has been a little different every time I have visited. I really enjoy their burritos. The only down side is that it is outside so the weather will impact the experience.

Cycled past once, looked at the menu from a distance, and then the owner beckoned me closer and started chatting to me, even offering 2 free samples of the menu.
Read moreBeen back a few times since to get an easy lunch or dinner, never disappoints. The owner is super friendly and seemingly can strike up conversation with anyone about anything. The food is consistently excellent and very reasonably priced.
There are nearby bus stops (& station), train stations, long-stay car parks and cycle routes/parking so there is absolutely no excuse not to try this place out. You won't be disappointed.
It's extremely important that when these excellent strictly-vegan places pop up, when people take that chance, that they are supported by as many people as possible.

Delicious every time. The vegan fried chicken is especially good - so pleased it’s back on the menu! The owner is really nice, and always way too generous with samples. And there’s watercolour paints for while you wait. 10/10!

Me and and partner tried chikhenn today for the first time and I was so impressed! Wish I’d try it before, my partner says we need to make it a regular thing every Saturday. We got the peri peri chicken pot, and the seasoning was 10/10. And the bbq chicken wrap, 9/10. Look forward to trying a few alternatives on the menu!

The food here was outstanding. Even though the portions were big, I had to go back for more as it was so good...and I'm greedy. I would say this is the tastiest plant based chicken alternative I've ever had. 3 of us ate here and we all agreed how good it was. Big plus was that although it was fast food it actually felt healthy. The food was grilled not fried and served with good crispy lettuce in a wrap.

I came across it by pure fluke and I am so grateful I did. The man preparing and selling (I didnt catch his name) was professional and kind. More to the point the burger and the skewers were seriously good. Had it not been for my busy day, I would have driven back into town for seconds after I got home.

Kieran just started his catering business and it was so meant to be to be able to taste it on the day we decided to travel 100+ miles away from home. The wrap was very good, fresh!, and the satay chicken was amazing too. One to watch growing in 2024! One-man-band means it can get busy, but Kieran has an awesome story to tell you whilst you're there. Don't miss it!
