June 2014 this vegan cafe began operating out of Spiritual Haze hookah cafe until later in summer when it is able to move its own space at 482 Park Ave, then in 2015 moved to the current location. A casual and cozy vegan cafe. Menu items include sandwiches, salads, and quesadillas. Also available are vegan milkshakes and baked goods. Reported closed, May 2017 - may offer pop-ups and/or sell at markets.

Great for lunch - Edit
We stopped here for lunch before a visit to Clark University. It is close to the university. The grilled cheese and quesadillas were delicious. Also had a milk shake which was amazing. I would definitely go back here.
Pros: Grilled cheeze!, Casual

Good, but not great...staff that don't care - Edit
I shoudl be used to it in Boston, where every service business is pretty unfriendly... but I expect more from Vegans. Nothing worse than traveling 45 minutes to visit a vegan restaurant and meeting counter staff who couldn't care less that you are there. What a shame... the menu was pretty good but bakes goods/dessert were non existent. Food was OK, but not something that I would travel 5 minutes to get... there just wasn't anything special about it.
Pros: vegan
Cons: Poor staff attitude

A must when in Worcester - Edit
Wow this place!!! The other reviews are right! Milkshakes to die for and don't miss the Reuben. Casual relaxed atmosphere with board games to play while you enjoy good company and good food.

So good we went twice! - Edit
We came here one night because we'd heard good things. Those things were correct! They have some of the best milkshakes I've ever had and the buffalo tempeh was phenomenal. I love that they are open late too. We came here a second time because I couldn't get enough of their milkshakes. Seriously, TRY THE SHAKES!!!!!!!
Pros: Milkshakes!, Open late, Healthy options
Cons: Kinda hard to find, Weird seating inside shared with a clothing store

delicious vegan comfort food - Edit
Vegan buffalo quesadilla, Mac and cheese, and milkshakes! What more could you ask for!? The food here is delicious. You order and eat in the back of a type of consignment shop called Funky Stuff. A different atmosphere than I'm used to, but I can't stay away from these milkshakes!

hidden gem! - Edit
I'm originally from Worcester but haven't lived there in 20 years (before I was vegan), and when I went back for a visit I was thrilled to see this on happycow! It was hard to find but well worth it. Be sure to park around the back as that is where their entrance is. The marquee sign facing the road doesn't have their name on it.
Their menu has the basics (sandwiches, salads, quesadillas) but within those categories there are several terrific options. I tried the chickpea salad sandwich on a bulkie roll (can't find a bulkie roll where I live now in the south!), and a milkshake. And also went back for Brunch too and tried the breakfast sandwich on an english muffin (with tofu scramble, sausage, and cheese in the sandwich). All 100% vegan and delicious! Staff was very friendly.
Pros: all vegan, good selection, brunch on the weekends
Cons: difficult to find, small

Quirky Place with Devine Cupcakes! - Edit
Chickpea has a comprehensive menu. My Husband had the Mediterranean Sandwich which is reminiscent of a Muffaletta and loved it. I had Buffalo Tempe Tenders served with celery which were delicious. We split a Lemon blueberry cupcake with lemon basil frosting, it was exquisite. If you order nothing else, go for the dessert. Easily the best vegan dessert I've ever had.
The place is a bit offbeat sharing half a space with another business. It's not a big deal it was just surprising to see. Chickpea has such an artsy vibe I could see local artists coming in to paint their dining tables & chairs to match the kitchen area. Something to visually delineate themselves from the adjoining businenss. There may be a few hiccups evident while they get used to running the business side, however the cooking side is absolutely flawless. The food is amazing. A must try in Worcester!
Pros: Best Cupcakes Ever! EVER!, Delicious food, Perfect portions
Cons: No sign on building marquee

disappointing - Edit
In theory, this place should be amazing. I first tried their food at the Worcester veg fest and it was great, so I couldn't wait to try it when it opened. I visited with my husband, and we ordered a quesadilla and a Reuben sandwich. There were only two other couples there, and it took 35 minutes for the quesadilla and 45 for the sandwich and by the time it came, the quesadilla had already been devoured by my husband. It seemed that the staff was very careless and lazy, and didn't apologize for the food being late. The food was pretty good once it got there (aside from the slaw which consisted of huge chunks of bitter cabbage without much sauce), but that kind of wait won't fly for vegans and non vegans alike. The place is a no frills cafe, so please pick up the pace! I would really like to see it survive.
