Just delicious - Edit
Everything we ordered was very tasty. The Mexican quesadilla were delicious with home made salsa/cashew cream and a really delicious tortilla - better than anyone I've had before. The fresh spring rolls were also delicious. The gochujang bimbap (although spicy) and BBQ tempeh skewers were out of this world. Cannot recommend this place enough. Lovely outdoor seating area.

Amazing food and cooking class! - Edit
We ordered from this restaurant on our first night in Hoi An and participated in the cooking class on the last.
Read moreAbout the order : everything was incredibly tasty and good! The portions are big too, depending on what you take you might have leftovers like us for the next day lunch!
About the cooking class : Wow! It was a blast and one of the best experience we had in Vietnam! Thu was super friendly and her explanations were interesting, above and beyond. There is soooo much value in this class. It lasted five hours, includes a market tour where we learned about a lot of ingredients in Vietnamese cuisine and tasted wonderful things, from dessert to unique fruits!
When we came back to the restaurant, ingredients were set out for us and we began cooking. We learned so much, and every participant got to do everything, from cutting to frying, because we all got our own ingredients and material. Everything we made tasted amazing and was fun to do. Can't recommend enough, best way to spend an afternoon in Hoi An!
Pros: The food tasted amazing, The cooking class is incredible

Delicious cooking class - Edit
We loved the cooking class. Thu had such good energy, breaking the ice, explaining everything, and making this a memorable experience.
Read moreOur group was 6 people. The class was 1 000 000 VND per person and took 5 hours, resulting in 3 delicious dishes.
After a short explanation at the restaurant we went to the market together. On the way we already tasted some sweets and new types of fruit.
Back at the restaurant we each got to do every step of the cooking. Everyone has their own set of ingredients and pan (which is better than some other cooking classes that we have experienced before).
Everything was vegan and explained into detail. Some ingredients might be difficult to find back home, but they send you the recipe and photo's of the ingredient packaging, which is really helpful!
Come hungry as there is a lot of food! We all had doggy bags to bring back home because we couldn't finish it all 😀

Fantastic cooking class - Edit
The market tour was great and learned a lot about Hoi An as well as the local food. We were taught three dishes but made so much that as well as earing our fill had enough for a big lunch the next day. Very practical advice and wonderful food. Our chef and guide was also lovely! Great thing to do whilst visiting.

Toller Kochkurs - Ein Highlight meiner Reise! - Edit
Ich kann den Kochkurs absolut empfehlen. Schon beim vorherigen Marktbesuch erhält man viele spannende Einblicke.

Amazing place with amazing hosts - Edit
Perfect way to have fun learning about Vietnamese food with an amazing host. The market tour was super informative and a short walk from the restaurant. Afterwards we were taken step by step through the process of making our own three dishes which were all delicious and gave us the confidence to try when back at home. The host Thu could not have been more friendly, knowledgeable and fun. The whole experience was perfectly organised and seamless so if you’re thinking of joining a cooking class whether vegan or not, this is highly recommended

The cooking class was excellent. Thu was a wonderful guide and cooking instructor. She took us around the market and let us try different fruit and cake before bringing us back to the restaurant to make the food. My partner and I had a really great time and will remember our class forever. Thank you Thu and the chickpea family!

Good sandwiches with nice terrace - Edit
We had the chickpea sandwich and the vegan beef sandwich. The chickpea sandwich is with falafel, not the best falafel I had in Vietnam but also not the worst 😂. The vegan beef sandwich was really good, it has pieces (I think black beans) that are similar to falafel, not much taste, but the pesto sauce they have in the sandwich is really good!

Great food and Class - Edit
What a wonderful little place. We enjoyed both a trip for dinner (which was great) as well as a vegan cooking class the next afternoon. They were friendly, energetic, competent, informative and knowledgeable. We made the separate dishes, all of work we enjoyed. The hands on practice really gives more confidence that you can do it at home. Chickpea is a good example that vegan food can be really delicious and accessible.

Great vibes and good food - Edit
Nicely decorated restaurant with pleasant outside seating. Cao lau was delicious and they had a unique fried wonton soup where the fried wontons came separately to dunk in the broth. We also tried the vegan cheese platter, which was a nice surprise to try vegan cheese with local flavors.

Great restaurant - Edit
Visited the restaurant because of the good reviews (though most here are about the cooking class haha) and was still blown away. The food here is really, really good. They know very well what vegan is and blow you away with their dishes. Service is very good too.
Read moreWe tried the wonton noodles, which were great and included deliciously fried wonton. The cau lau, my favourite local Hoi A dish, which was outstanding. We decided to finish with a cheese platter, which at 320k is the cheapest dish I’ve ever had in Vietnam but any local vegan cheese maker I can support, I will. It was really good and included the cheese they had available that day, dragon, garlic and pesto. The cheeses were great and the whole platter was a feast. It’s quite big, we finished it with 2 after also 2 mains but it was a lot!
It may have become my favourite restaurant in Hoi An, it’s so tasty!! It seems mostly frequented by Western tourists so maybe they adapt to Western tastebuds. Also some dishes area bit more expensive than what they could cost at other restaurants. But I think it’s worth the price
