I had the CKN wings and the challenge and have to say it was extremely juicy and moist. Honestly one of the best vegan wings alternatives I've had. Will definitely give it another go and hopefully next time remember to take some pictures. Glad I don't live too far away

Read moreI ordered the Chickenish Bucket to share with my girlfriend as the menu said it was meant for 2 people, but when it was served it was much smaller than I expected, more of a meal for one. It did come with chips, which I wasn’t expecting and was a nice surprise, but the amount of “chicken” was disappointing, especially for £15. The chicken itself was ok. I’ve tasted quite a few different vegan chicken substitutes and I didn’t feel this matched up to the really good ones. The texture was a bit off and the taste was just good, not great. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything special. The drumsticks were also a bit odd – difficult to eat, and quite greasy without a huge amount of flavour. I’d definitely recommend the bites over the drumsticks. The chips were really tasty, and for me the best part of the meal. I think if I’d paid £9 or 10 for the Chickenish Bucket as a meal for one I would’ve been satisfied, but I didn’t feel it was worth £15 nor was it enough food for 2 people. With so many great vegan options around, especially in Hackney, Chickenish is not somewhere I’d return to.

There isnt any indoor seating so I had to sit outside in the super super cold - there were heaters but none of them (out of maybe 5) had any gas in and so didnt work. You order via a website which is a disaster, and my order took around 25 minutes even though i only ordered a chicken box and gravy and was the only person there. The chicken was really delicious, but the portion was SO small despite it supposedly being a large size, I paid £11.50 for gravy and probably less than 20 nuggets. I honestly thought maybe they gave me the wrong size box. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day because I know all the other reviews are really great

Had some popcorn bites at vegan camp out so when I found myself in Hackney Wick I had to make the visit. Had the bucket to share and oh my goodness, they are just as good as I remember. Strong strong recommend!

Yum yum. The best vegan in town. I was down In town with my fiancee this Saturday ,we decided to have some vegan at colour factory ,we had some nice burger and a chickenish bucket. We really love it .it was very nice presented,also very tasty .....the fries were nice and crunchy......Def I'll suggest it to everyone. Well-done guys.

My mind had just been completely blown 🤯. I usually hate vegan chicken, but this is next level. First, Chickenish use yuba as the “chicken” meat, which is an excellent choice. The “chicken skin” was flavored exceptionally well and was extra crispy. I cannot stress how DELICIOUS the drumsticks were (look at the pictures I posted). However, I did select the garlic mayo sauce option and it was terrible (tasted like bad ranch dressing), so I’d recommend a different sauce. Still, the drumsticks were amazingly good without any sauce.

Chicken bites- excellent size, consistency and taste. Best version of chicken replacement bites I’ve had!
Drumsticks- really tasty, crispy exterior is amazing! Really cool, not had anything like it, extremely well made.
Sauces and gravy- perfect taste combinations to go with the mains.
Ps really loved the extent of GF options!

This place is incredible - looks and tastes (I think!) like real fried chicken. Coating great and texture awesome. I was a big fan of the chicken wings which had an outer but and a special inner bit (like banana blossom or cabbage) which were incredible. Had the bucket but next time will have wings and chips!

We tried Chickenish this weekend after seeing many photos on Instagram of the famous chicken bucket, and we were not disappointed! We ordered a bucket and two portions of chips and cannot believe how delicious everything was..even the sauces were unreal. The texture of the fake chicken is definitely the best fake meat alternatives I've tried, and the flavour of the meat and batter really reminded me of the chicken you'd get from a fried chicken shop (or KFF). The chips were also great and such a big portion! My partner still eats meat and was really impressed with how similar the tastes and textures were to 'real' chicken.

Read moreFirstly, my friend took her first bite and was sure that she was eating real chicken! The texture is just exquisite, it's super tender and juicy but still with a good bite! The coating is seasoned perfectly and to top it all off its gluten free so you don't feel have that heavy gluten belly feeling at the end of it!
The fries were on point too and I'd even rate them over fiveguys fries.... Whaaat.
We got to choose two sauces with our bucket, but there are a range and they all sound amazing. Big shout out to the basil and garlic mayo!
Portion size was great for 3 of us.
Would highly recommend!
