Superb

Chiang Dao Nest 2 is a Thai restaurant of exceptional quality. There are 4-5 pages dedicated to vegan or veg meals.
I believe this restaurant serves vegan food as good or better than I have eaten anywhere throughout the world.
The flavours are masterfully blended and compliment each other in an exceptional way.
Meals are large enough to satisfy without being too big to finish.
Prices are higher than a quick street type restaurant, but the quality cannot be compared.
My husband and I ate each day for a week and did not tire of this restaurant.
2 main meals, plain rice or noodles, 1 beer and a house white wine set us back 500 baht (approx $14.50 USD).

Pros: Exceptional Flavours, Numerous choices, Garden setting

Cons: None

Gorgeous sunset, quality food, slow service

The Nest is a guesthouse restaurant. It’s fairly fancy and VIPs will get the seating with the best views of the limestone mountains.

Everything is made from scratch so be prepared for slow service. Also, the restaurant is outside so it can get chilly at night. Fortunately the food is well worth waiting for.

If you’re looking for something fancy, delicious and romantic in town, this may be the place.

Saved us!

Could find anywhere that did vegan food in Chiang dao and eventually came across this- thank god! We had some tofu, rice and a green curry and it all felt fresh and well made (albeit very spicy)

Vegetarian menu only vegetarian if you specify

One of the dishes in the vegetarian menu is stir fried vegetables in oyster sauce (not vegetarian). I asked the chef when she came to take our order. She told me they can make anything vegetarian if you request it. There was another dish (I can't remember which one) that she told me contains fish paste. So it is possible to eat vegetarian (and vegan) here, but you must tell them your requirements. Don't presume that the dishes on the vegetarian menu don't contain fish/oyster sauce. The food was tasty, but nothing special.

Pros: Tofu available, Plenty of options for vegan/vegetarian, Chef speaks good English

Cons: Menu not clear on vegetarian items, Must state your dietary requirements when ordering, Waiting staff very friendly but limited English

Good food for reasonable price

We had a noodle soup and the red curry with tofu. The noodle soup had many vegetables and was delicious. Unfortunately the curry was a little bit too spicy and they could not make it milder. The price is very reasonable and the view is amazing. We came for lunch and they had only the mini menu but still there were a couple of vegetarian choices

Pros: Great views, High quality food

Cons: No option to make the food not spicy

Beautiful garden, good food

The food is definetly good and you can sit in the garden and have a nice view at the mountain. Prices were not as expensive as I would have expected - I would consider 100-150 THB per dish rather middle-ranged for a place that probably mostly serves tourists.

Tasty vegan food in a tranquil setting

Such a beautiful setting in this outdoor restaurant; perfect for a romantic evening. There are tons of veggie & vegan options which all come beautifully presented and are delicious. The yum tofu salad was particularly tasty. Just remember to reserve a table for dinner in advance.

Delicious and relaxing

We had the galangal mushroom soup and the tofu red curry. Both were truly amazing (as well as the fresh passion fruit juice). It was subtle, soothing and perfectly cooked. What a treat. Also, the Nest is located in a nice garden completely in touch with nature. Loved it!

Great Veg Food Tranquil Setting

It's a very pleasant experience to come here because the garden is so tranquil and lovely overlooking the mountain, as well as the great food. The Guest House is a nice place to stay, if a little pricey. The veggie options are really good here. It's also worth knowing that Chiang Dao Nest 1, although it's not very veggie friendly in the evening they do a vegan breakfast. It's great.

Pros: Beautiful Scenery, Great Veggie Options
