Amazing food and interior! A must!

This restaurant has stunning decor and delicious food. Everything we tried was delicious and reasonable priced. Everything is Vegan so you don’t have to search the menu for options. I highly recommend the lemongrass chick’n and their take on spring rolls.

Pros: All vegan , Recipes that mimic real meat dishes , Trendy decor

Unreal

The food was truly incredible - Chi was never on the map for us until they went vegan and my goodness have they done an unreal job! The Lemongrass Chikkin was sooooo tasty and the wontons! Plus their cocktails are fab! Can’t wait to taste the menu!

A great spot

It seems kind of unassuming from the outside, but the menu is well thought out and not overwhelming. The options they have are great, and I would come back again!

Liked it before they went plant based, love them now!

Lots of options, beautiful decor. Spring rolls are the best I’ve ever had.

Second time round was better :)

Had the house burger and the duk lettuce wrap.

I was really excited about the wrap as it's totally up my street.

However, I found that majority of the flavour came from the hoisin sauce, which was nice and sweet. The lettuce was vibrant and fresh, wish there was more and for them to be bigger pieces as I had quite a bit of the filling left over. The actual "duk" filling which had sweetcorn, mushrooms and jackfruits in it (along with other ingredients) tasted bland with salt being at the forefront. The texture was good overall.
I despised the puffed rice noodles, whenever I ate a piece, it somehow turned into an unchewable plastic thread-like texture, even though it looks crispy and light in touch.

My bf had the house burger and didn't enjoy it. The bread was unpleasant and was made very soggy by the veitnamese vegan cheese sauce (the white sauce), the sauce itself was not good either.
The burger patty itself was minced mush, but it tasted ok along with the other ingredients.
I had a taste and I liked the beany taste of the burger, but it was like gritty mush. Not the worst or the best burger ever.
I loved the length of the chips, and the texture of them, bf felt they were "airy" in a bad way, I enjoyed the few that I had.

I think that the dishes are overly complicated in a good way as I love seeing all these lovely stuff on the plate, it is not executed to its full potential though.

Overall, the food is very photogenic and the restaurant itself is lovely. Loved the decor and the space, music was a bit loud as we were sat by the speakers.

The server and waitress were both nice and accommodating.

We'll be back to try the other stuff, maybe it was just an off day.

Had the potstickers, chi's tofu bowl and pho ga.

Enjoyed the potstickers, the garnish was even tastier! Came out very fast too.

Pho ga was good, loved the broth, could do with more tofu and mushrooms as it was very noodle heavy. I want to be full on more ingredients!

Tofu bowl was good, but too dry and the veggies in there, especially the kale was unpleasant for the bf. The tofu was too strong in flavour for him, I liked it though. We added my broth to the bowl to moisten it up and to spread the taste of the tofu evenly.

Everything this time round was better than the previous food we ordered.

A Vancouver must try!

I love Chi! The fact that they changed their menu to be 100% vegan is awesome. The chef is so talented and creates delicious, satisfying and creative dishes. The staff are pleasant and add to the welcoming atmosphere. They are also experimenting with the menu and often have new dishes to try!

Pros: Creative all vegan menu , Friendly staff, Nice atmosphere

Wow, wow, wow!

What an excellent restaurant. Every dish was an absolute treat! The “pork belly” taco was out of this world delicious - my favourite of the evening. Service was very attentive and Chi, the chef, is one fast cook. We will be back soon!

Loved this place - lots of good options

I went to Chi with my boyfriend who is not vegan/veg and he loved it. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is great. I loved that the menu offered so many different options including options for less adventurous eaters (like my boyfriend). We shared the truffle fries which were amazing! I will definitely be back.

Great!

Got take away from here with my omni friend. The ban mi burger was both our fav. I loved the pho, though it would have been great with the fresh veggies and basil that typically comes with pho. My omni friend did denote it was heavy mushroom - but mushroom is in the description. Will definitely by back!

Pros: Great food

Cons: A bit on the pricier side

Yum

Love the fact that there is a new all vegan restaurant in Vancouver. The spring roles were so good and crunchy wrapped in a a soft rice paper wrap.

The cauliflower was good. I’ve had better and I’ve had worst.

The jackfruit duck wrap was so good as well. Fresh and light.

Pros: All vegan, Fast and yummy , Great staff.

New favourite!

Instant new favourite for full vegan in Vancouver. Everything we had was great, from apps to cocktails to mains. So many good options, I was picking between 8’different mains and thus will have to go back many times over!

WOW - more people need to go here

Chi has reopened as a fully vegan restaurant. The chef serves up incredible Vietnamese fusion dishes.
We had the “pork & shrimp” tacos to start, which were no less than heavenly. We tried the turmeric fish (Cha ca la vong), which had imitation crispy fish with noodles and peanuts - delicious. We also tried the Peking “Duk” roll and caramelized garlic shrimp bowl - both amazing! The complementary jackfruit at the end was the icing on the cake !

Pros: All Vegan , Creative dishes , Great service

Cons: None
