6⭐️: absolutely top-tier vegan pizza - Edit
Easily in my top 3 vegan pizza places I’ve ever been to. Rarely does vegan pizza feel like “real” *pizza* rather than just some combo of veggies and sauce and bread…this is actually pizza, and it’s delicious. Got food from here twice in one weekend!

Five bucks for a big slice of vegan pepperoni pizza. Not plastic tasting… great value.

Amazing options, great price - Edit
We had an exceptional meal here! Lots of great options with margharita, pesto, and white sauces available. Lots of their pies don’t include meat substitutes, which I appreciated, but plenty feature them if that’s your thing. The music was great and the overall atmosphere was very casual and comfortable. The vegan ranch dipping sauce was an added bonus.

amazing pizza, nice dough, friendly staff, nice variations - Edit
especially the white sauce based pizzas are so nice.

But I wanted to add a smaller concern to my review. If you choose to go vegan, one of the reasons may be for environmental or sustainability reasons regarding animals and the earth.
With that in mind, I wondered why you sell Nestlé's Nestea. You might want to think about that. I don't think every product has to be small business and/or local, but Nestlé is on a different page. Most controversial company when it comes to water and or exploitation.
Peaceful greetings,
Steven
Pros: many variations, pasta, friendly staff
Cons: Nestea Nestlé drinks (!?)

Thinner crust vegan pizza - Edit
Cute little pizza joint. Ambiance was good. Only a couple tables. The server also played DJ with old school records. The pizzas have a thinner crust. Tasty. Could be crispier. The bloom pizza was a touch sweet but add buffalo sauce at table to balance it out with a kick. El Diablo was spicy. Neither had too much “cheese”. Kind of melted into the sauce on the bloom.

Solid vegan pizza with a by-the-slice option - Edit
We picked up some pizza slices as a quick lunch and had one of each slice. The one I liked the most had a pesto base. Thin crust, flavorful, and a good on-the-go option. It was a more sophisticated, artisanal pizza style, rather than a New York style gooey, greasy pizza. I really liked it and would go back again.

No gluten free options - Edit
We visited Chez Zac because their website said they were fully vegan with gluten free options, but we were told that is incorrect. My husband enjoyed his pizza, but I just got to watch him eat, then we headed to another place for me. Lots of interesting pizzas on the menu and they are all vegan!

Cute place - Edit
This little shop has a nice vibe, and the pizza is indeed tasty! It is indeed a tiny bit pricey (although still reasonable) and pizzas could be more filled, but overall a really nice find!

Excellent vegan pizza - Edit
Excellent thin-crust vegan pizza, for a great price. Personal size pizzas (10-inch) are only 13$ during their lunch special! I had the Bloom Pizza, which came with a white sauce topped with onions, mushrooms, basil, chili flakes, and a vegan "honey" drizzle made by the local brand Bloom. It was delicious; the presentation, flavors, and textures were great.
Read moreIndoor seating is quite limited (only 2 tables), and it can get quite busy at times, so it's probably more suited for take-out. However, I still enjoyed my experience dining in.
I'd definitely love to come back to try their other pizzas!
Pros: Lunch special!, Fresh and fast
Cons: Limited indoor seating

Tasty Pizza, Bad Delivery - Edit
I probably should not have ordered at 5pm. My pizza was delivered ice cold and sideways in the DoorDash guy’s bag! That being said, the Mile End pizza was still delicious. Really delicious. Glad this restaurant exists, but I won’t get delivery again.

I love pizza and going vegan had been difficult until i found this place. I love it. All dressed and Diablo are both awesome. It’s much nicer to eat it fresh inside too.

Best and most creative vegan pizza - Edit
Love all the pizzas at Chez Zac!! You can eat in or do takeout (comes with artfully designed boxes) for all the tasty pizzas on the menu here. They have super funky creative flavours like the Diablo spicy pepper pizza but also traditional pizzas and a beyond meat option. The cheese doesn’t taste gross and artificial like some places. Their small (14$) isn’t a ton of food more like a personal pizza. This is one of my favourite MTL spots😄

Best pizza in America - Edit
I have traveled around Canada and USA trying to find a vegan pizza that was as good and didn’t even come close. I go there almost every week and they have never disappointed me. This pizza is a MUST in your life. You absolutely have to try it. My personal favorites are Mile End, Roxanne & Aphrodite. Now go!

I’ve liked every pizza I’ve tried here, but the Aphrodite is my absolute favourite. I want to know how they get the seitan so chewy and amazing! I liked the Thai pizza they used to have (with peanut sauce), but noticed it was gone the last time I went there 😕

Pizzas that scratch that itch - Edit
Vegan pizzas not hard to come by. Any old pizzeria will put something together for their vegan patrons, but you will often end up with a soggy slice that's actually just their all-dressed, without pepperoni or cheese. Some vegan restaurants will go the opposite direction, and offer you their own twist on pizza, and you'll end up with a spectacular piece of cuisine with truffle oil, celery sticks, fennel pollen, agave syrup, rapini, pickled red onion and/or cashew blue cheeze (no kidding, I've come across all of these ingredients). Then, you can try to scratch that itch for a traditional, oven baked, old-fashioned pizza that smells and taste like greasy heaven by cooking at home, and you can get pretty good results, but it's never quite *it*.
Read moreAfter seven years as a vegan, I've finally come across that holy grail Chez Zac. At first I was a bit sceptical, as the pizzas on the menu kind of all look the same and are all a combination of the same 8-10 ingredients. I picked an All Dressed, which is more "traditional" with a marinara base, cheese, mushroom, green pepper and seitan chicken (I could not find the option to add olives), and an Aphrodite, with a pesto base, almonds, cheese and sundried tomatoes. But, WOW. The amazing pizza smell that oozes through the (beautifully decorated) box! Both pizzas were pretty much perfect. I will happily glaze over not having many ingredient options: I don't need anything else to be blissfully satisfied. This will be my new go-to place for my pizza fix in Montreal.
Pros: All vegan!, Tastes like REAL traditional pizza, Artwork on the box was a nice plus!
Cons: Many pizzas, but all the same few ingredients
