So delicious!

Their socca is just amazing! We eat there at least once every time we visit Nice. I wish I could give it 5* but can't due to Happy Cow rules, as they aren't fully veggie/vegan.

Must try in Nice

The best socca we had in Nice - a local delicacy that is naturally vegan. Lots of veggie/vegan options for customising your socca as well as a range of suitable small dishes - you certainly won't go hungry here.

Les meilleures soccas

Resto au top, bien qu’il y ait la queue l’attente n’est pas si longue, les plats arrivent rapidement. Les prix sont plus que raisonnables. Leur socca est tout simplement délicieuse !!!!

Some of the best socca in Nice

Socca is a specialty of Nice and Chez Pipo has some of the best in the city. It's naturally vegan (just chickpea flour, water, salt, pepper) so if you're spending time in the area it's a delicious and satisfying go-to snack or meal.
The staff at Chez Pipo is friendly and will happily help identify all of the vegan options on the menu. The spreads are a perfect accompaniment to the socca and make Chex Pipo stand out from other socca cafes. The olive and dried tomato spreads (just ask for the ones without anchovy) will add a wonderful Provençal brightness to your meal.

Wonderful Socca

Their speciality is socca - the French version of the tradicional Genoese farinata, a kind of chickpea flour pancake. It is delicious, vegan, and gluten free. I could eat this every day.

Tasty Socca

Went here for lunch. The place is big with a lot of seating indoors and some seating outdoors. The atmosphere was very hectic. The interior design was basic; basic wooden tables and plastic stools.

I sat down, waited a few minutes before I myself contacted a waiter to be served. He was very kind and complemented my French, which I always like :)

I had the Socca cébettes (5,90€) and Socca poivrons (5,90€). They both tasted well and were perfect as my lunch.

For a higher rating I'd like them to differentiate between vegan and vegetarian options in the menu.

Reasonably priced authentic food

I’m from Provence and the Socca was as good as my grandma’s one. Very charred, perfect mix of crusty and moist ! I really enjoyed the different versions you could pick (2 of them are vegan but it’s not intentional)

Pros: Friendly service and fairly priced food, Small but tasty selection of Socca, Vegetarian appetizer too

Great local food

Yummy socca! Staff fluent in English and helpful with explaining what was vegan and what contained nuts.
We had socca with spring onions and peppers, and pizza with tomatoes, plus some tartinade and a vegan pissaladiere. Yum.

Pros: Plenty of Vegan options clearly marked on menu, Great staff, very helpful, Yummy socca

Cons: Staff were a bit rushed - very busy place!

Loved it here

Perfect place to try some local dishes. There are many vegan options, we tried pizza, pissaladiere, socca, socca with spring onions, croutons with different dips (tomato and pepper, artichoke, eggplant, dried tomatoes). The socca is super crispy and seriously the best I’ve ever had. Everything is really cheap, so you can try many different things. Water is free.

The reference for Socca

The best Socca in the city. The menu is very small but is possible to have a good vegan meal. Most of the tartines are vegan (except for tapenades that always have anchovies) and the pizza is without cheese (just tomato, olives and fresh parsley).

Good taste, good price

Very cheap and nice concept. More of a cafe kinda vibe. All dishes are small and cheap, so you can try multiple things. We loved the chickpea flour pancakes. They kind of felt like a crispy vegan omelet. The pizza was also really good. Not for a true dining experience, but definitely good for a quick vegan bite.

Pros: Multiple vegan options, Great prices, Combine multiple small dishes

Cons: Quite simple

Nicosian vegan specialty

Socca Is a special food from south France. And it's vegan! Don't miss it, it's very tasty. Soft chickpea pancakes with different toppings (here, e.g.: onion). Served like pizza slices. Vegan tartines (e.g. With sun dried tomatoes) with croutons are also available here.

Typical local Food

Very popular restaurant with local specials from nizza. Vegan items marked on the menu, but I'm not sure if it really was vegan. Tasted great and the restaurant was very cute
