Good and cheap - Edit
We had eggplant salad, vegan tajine, white beans and French fries. Everything was very good, except the fries, they were soggy and raw. Wouldn't recommend them, but the rest was very good and extremely cheap. We paid 115 MAD for everything including drinks.

Delicious! - Edit
The guy (Omar) asked me if I was vegetarian when I ordered the vegetarian couscous. It was really yummy. Lots of fresh tasty vegetables, enormous portion. Prices are slightly higher then the last pics, 30 for veg couscous or tagline, 20 for Moroccan salad. Still an absolute bargain. Excellent lemon juice too.

Best price-quality in Essaouira - Edit
The best value for price restaurant that offers vegan options in Essaouira. For 25dh you get a nice meal with a big bread! Loved most vegan options, but in specific the Moroccan Tuktoukah. The tajines are better at the vegan places here though. So my recommendation is to get the Moroccan Tuktoukah here!

Amazing - Edit
During our stay in Essaouria we went four times to Chez Omar and basically tried every vegan option. Tajine, Tuktoukah, Couscous, Zaalouk, Lentils and White beans were all amazing. The spinach was also good, but we liked the other options more. Fried potato is just french fries, I wouldnt recommend it because everything else is way better.
Read moreFor two persons we can recommend 2 Main dishes (Tajine, Couscous or Tuktoukah) and 1 side dish (beans, lentils, Zaalouk, ...).
After 3 weeks of morocco this is the restaurant with the best price value, and regarding Taste it is definetly on our top 3 list.
Omar is really friendly, we felt very welcome.
If there are no seats on the street, Just head to the rooftop.

Could not find - Edit
We walked around and around for ages and could not find this place. There were two other places where this was supposed to be so maybe the name has changed.

Good range of vegetarian and vegan dishes at good prices. - Edit
It seems that there are only a couple of places in Essaouira with a lot of reviews. However there must be a lot of other great places to eat with good Vege. and Vegan options. Menu in French with an English translation but I'm not sure that the owner fully understands the difference between Vegan and Vegetarian. (Unfortunately I don't speak French. ) Great place to come if someone in the party wants a fish dish. I had a vegetable couscous and mint tea for 35mad

Changed our perspective on Moroccan food! - Edit
We went to this restaurant almost daily during our month in Essaouira. The food is really great with a lot of clearly listed vegetarian option. We found that vegetarian options in Morocco so far had been limited and we weren't big fans but this helped us see the light with Moroccan food! Delicious!
