delicious galettes de sarrasin(buckwheat pancakes) - Edit
There being almost no choices for vegetarians and vegans in Le Croisic, I went to ask a few questions about the food at Chez Emile. The owner (Emile?) was very friendly and helpful, he said his buckwheat flour is organic and they don't put eggs in the dough, just water and salt. You can choose from some toppings for your galette (buckwheat pancake)quite a few are veg and even vegan. For vegans need to take care of the beurre sale (salted butter) that they use for baking. I took the galette with baked mushrooms and it was deliciously soft in the middle and crunchy on the edges. The next day i came back for a galette with 'compotee du jour'=sauteed vegetable of the day. That day it was leek, and it was scrumptious! Even the plain galette with salted butter is great. And prices are very reasonable for a tourist spot on the coast. The owner is very helpful for any of your requirements (vegan and vegetarian). The restaurant is just on the old port, so nice view and atmosphere from the open-air terrace in front.
