Serves meat, vegan options available. Seafood restaurant with lion’s mane crab cake and lion’s mane crab cake platter with vegan coleslaw and fries. Open Tue-Sat 4:00pm-9:00pm.
Closed Sun, Mon.
It was nice to see a vegan option at a seafood restaurant, and also nice to see a vegan option in general that wasn't a Beyond burger or house salad. The mushroom cakes with fries and slaw were their only option. Our waitress confirmed that they use vegan mayo in the coleslaw. The mushroom cakes were well seasoned but a bit greasy (as others have mentioned), but the portion was good, and I appreciated the effort. I probably wouldn't seek this meal out in the future if I'm on my own since the vegan options in this area have been steadily increasing, but I would definitely get it again if I'm out with non-vegan family/friends.
I appreciate that they offer clear vegan entrée options and not just salad but I was pretty underwhelmed by the faux-crab cakes, they were super duper greasy and kinda bland. Def did not want to encourage my dining partners to try it to help open them up to vegan food. If I want a decent vegan option I'd sooner go to the brewery restaurant next door for a Beyond burger...
There aren’t a lot of vegan options in Rehoboth if you’re also looking for sit down dining with outdoor seating. These lion’s mane mushroom crab cakes were delicious and filling. The cost was $20 which was reasonable for the amount of food. The outdoor seating was in the shade and our waitress was happy to check that the mayo in the slaw was vegan.
